Days of Our Lives Recap: Monday, August 7 – Honeymoon Crasher, 3 Proposal Responses and Married Affair Confession

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, August 7, reveals that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) was stunned when she came home and realized the doorman had let Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) in.

In Chicago on Monday’s Days episode, Sarah was holding a grocery bag that concealed her baby bump, so she kept it in place as Maggie pushed her to come clean about what she’d been hiding.

After Maggie admitted to hearing the news about Sarah and Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) getting back together, she urged her daughter to put the bag down so they could have a real conversation.

Maggie wondered how serious things were with Rex and assumed they were quite serious after Sarah finally revealed her baby bump.

Sarah confessed to getting pregnant before she left Salem, so Maggie quickly figured out the baby must be Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) instead.

Although Maggie felt Xander had a right to know, Sarah protested since he was a criminal who wasn’t going to change.

Once Sarah pushed Maggie to keep her secret, Maggie argued that Sarah needed to tell Xander the truth herself.

Next on Monday’s Days episode, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) worried Xander’s proposal was about Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) tying the knot, but Xander insisted that wasn’t the case.

Xander also mentioned hearing that Sarah was back with Rex, so Chloe was even more convinced this proposal wasn’t really about her own relationship with Xander.

After Xander admitted this was about Sarah and Gwen, he insisted that he didn’t mean that in the way Chloe thought. Xander argued that he was happy for his exes and wanted to be happy with Chloe, too.

As Xander made a speech about his future with Chloe and how he was ready to move on, he mentioned getting a house with a yard for the “kiddies.”

Chloe was surprised to learn Xander wanted children with her and seemed touched over how much thought he’d put into their life together.

Although Chloe gave Xander a kiss, she had to turn down his marriage proposal for now since they’d only been dating for three months and needed more time to figure out their feelings.

Xander assured Chloe that she could take all the time she needed, but he claimed he was already certain of how he felt.

In Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) suite at the Salem Inn, Gwen barged her way in and heard a crash in the bathroom.

That led to Gwen assuming that Matthew Perry aka MP was in there, so she pushed him to come out and meet her.

Leo said MP wouldn’t come out and confessed to being involved with a married man again. Although Leo assumed that made him a horrible person,

Gwen insisted he was a good person instead and that he deserved to be happy.

If MP was cheating on his wife, Gwen acted like the marriage was already doomed anyway. After sharing a hug with Leo, Gwen dashed off to finish packing for her honeymoon.

Once Gwen was gone and Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) was dressed, he rejoined Leo and acknowledged that was a close call.

Nevertheless, Dimitri didn’t want to go the whole honeymoon without seeing Leo, so he surprised him with an email about Leo’s first-class flight to Iceland and room reservation in another wing of the same hotel.

Leo initially panicked over the idea of being a honeymoon crasher, but Dimitri wanted him to secretly tag along.

After Dimitri left, Leo mulled over deleting the email, but he decided against it and began packing instead.

At Sloan Petersen’s (Jessica Serfaty) place, Eric Brady (temporarily played by Jason Gerhardt) wondered what secret Sloan and Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) were talking about.

Melinda came up with a bogus story about Sloan meeting with a judge alone and said that was a big legal no-no, but she assured Eric that she was willing to look the other way.

In the hallway, Melinda gave Sloan her word that she’d keep quiet about Eric being the father of Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) baby. Trask also hinted that she might need a favor in return someday.

When Sloan walked back in the door, she was stunned to see Eric down on one knee.

Eric delivered a more romantic proposal this time around, so Sloan threw him back on the bed and enthusiastically accepted his offer of marriage.

After making love, Eric slipped the ring on Sloan’s finger and looked forward to their new chapter together.

In the town square on Monday’s DOOL show, Melinda ran into Gwen and got updates on her making things official with Dimitri.

That left Melinda eager to take both Gwen and Dimitri down for the crimes they would inevitably commit!

At the DiMera mansion, Gwen met up with Dimitri and made it clear that he’d be in for lots of time in the bedroom on their wonderful honeymoon together.

Downstairs on Monday’s Days episode, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) popped the question to Nicole after hearing about Eric’s plan to propose to Sloan.

That left Nicole suspicious of the timing, so EJ got out an engagement ring to prove he’d been waiting to do this for a while.

In fact, EJ got the ring after he learned Nicole could carry the baby to term.

Since EJ wanted to be with Nicole forever and be united as one when their child came, Nicole let him slip the ring on and agreed to become his wife.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say EJ, Nicole, Eric and Sloan are all in for some curveballs, so stay tuned to see what’s in store!
