Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, October 2, reveals that Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian) didn’t think it was a good idea for Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) to be her therapist anymore. Marlena assumed this was because they were colleagues, but she felt they could keep professional boundaries and talked Talia into continuing therapy with her.
Since Talia had time for a session now, she told Marlena all about how she got wasted and slept with a married man after Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) dumped her.
Talia also mentioned how she got drunk with this guy at the pub and took him up to the apartment there.
At the Salem PD on Monday’s Days episode, Shawn made romantic plans with Belle Brady (Martha Madison) over the phone and vowed to be the husband she deserved.
Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) overheard Shawn’s conversation now that she was back from London, so she confronted him after he hung up.
Shawn was apologetic and took responsibility for his part in sleeping with Talia, but he didn’t know what he’d do if he lost Belle.
At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s DOOL show, Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) agreed with Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) about letting Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) bleed out on the floor.
However, Stefan argued that they should keep Dimitri alive, especially since he still needed to sign away his shares along with Megan DiMera’s (Miranda Wilson). That led to Stefan suggesting Dimitri needed to help them out if he wanted to survive.
Dimitri refused to sign at first, but he eventually gave Gabi the combination for his locked briefcase and let her retrieve the necessary papers.
Gabi helped Dimitri sign the papers before an ambulance was summoned for him.
Once the paramedics took Dimitri to the hospital, that left Vivian, Gabi and Stefan to get their stories straight.
Vivian wasn’t supposed to be carrying a weapon due to her parole, so Stefan wound up covering for her when Jada and Shawn showed up to investigate.
Stefan claimed he was with Gabi when they came down and found Dimitri after the gunshot.
Once Stefan lied that there was no sign of anyone, he added that Vivian didn’t show up until after the ambulance left.
Vivian was grateful to Stefan for covering for her and later admitted she lost out on Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) fortune due to his new will.
In Marlena’s office again on Monday’s Days episode, Talia was summoned back to work right as Belle showed up.
Belle talked to Marlena about Shawn’s recent disappearance and how he wound up sleeping off a drunken night in Jada’s apartment.
Marlena flashed back to Talia’s story earlier as the puzzle pieces clicked into place.
Belle was hopeful about Shawn turning a corner, but Marlena urged her to proceed with caution.
In Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) suite, he admitted to Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) that he’d been sleeping with Dimitri, so she punched “Matty” in the face.
Gwen recapped how she caught Leo with Dimitri in Iceland and shared how she was after revenge now, which meant the lovers wouldn’t get a dime.
Although Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) had fatal plans for Dimitri, Gwen suggested she took a tamer approach and stole the first installment of Dimitri’s fortune from the bank.
After Gwen showed Leo the check, he got a phone call from the paramedic about Dimitri getting shot.
Leo argued that if this was Kristen’s doing, then Gwen was just as much to blame.
Once Leo rushed to the hospital and told Talia that he was Dimitri’s boyfriend, she admitted that Dimitri was in surgery.
Gwen arrived for more clashing with Leo, who wondered if she was there to finish Dimitri off.
After Gwen denied it, she realized Leo and Dimitri really were in love.
Leo softened and wanted to fix his relationship with Gwen, but she made it clear that their friendship was over.
Once Talia offered updates on Dimitri pulling through his procedure, Gwen sent Leo back to be with Dimitri.
Leo sat by unconscious Dimitri’s hospital bed on Monday’s Days episode and vowed not to leave his side, especially since Dimitri was all he had left.
Afterward, Marlena called Talia back to her office so they could finish her session.
Talia didn’t think there was anything left to discuss, but Marlena mentioned that Talia left out the part about sleeping with her son-in-law!
Back at the Salem PD, Jada assured Shawn that she wouldn’t say anything to anyone about him sleeping with her sister.
Belle looked unsettled as she appeared in the doorway and overheard that shocking news.
