Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, October 23, reveals that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) stopped by to see Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) and heard all about Konstantin Meleounis’ (John Kapelos) visit, which seemed to have lifted Maggie’s spirits.
Brady was surprised to hear that Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) supposedly funded Konstantin’s restaurant and refused repayment.
It didn’t sound like something Victor would do, so Brady was perplexed over that and Victor’s decision to blow up so many lives with the revelation that Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) was his son.
Maggie was confused by the Alex reveal as well and admitted she’d ask Victor about that choice if she could have another minute more with him.
At the Salem Inn on Monday’s Days episode, Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) let Konstantin in as they talked about their partnership and flashed back to what happened behind closed doors in Greece.
In the flashbacks, Konstantin barged in on Theresa after someone reported back to him about the briefcase ending up in her room.
Once Konstantin saw that the new will left him with nothing, he fumed since his father gave Victor seed money and was the reason Victor amassed his fortune.
Theresa saw that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) was Victor’s secret son according to the letter that went with the revised will, which gave Xander half of everything.
However, Theresa also realized it was all very vague and saw the potential to make it look like Alex was Victor’s secret son instead.
If Theresa played her cards right, she could build a connection with Alex before he learned about the inheritance. That way, Alex wouldn’t be suspicious about Theresa going after his money.
Konstantin had equipment and could help provide an expert forgery when it came to the letter, so he shook with Theresa on their deal.
Back in the present, Theresa explained to Konstantin that she was already moving in with Alex, but she didn’t know how long getting him to pop the question would take.
Theresa wasn’t sure when she could get Konstantin his payout, so he resolved to stick around while he waited.
Next on Monday’s DOOL show, Konstantin brought Maggie some daffodils that he claimed he found in the park.
Maggie was surprised to learn Konstantin remembered they were Maggie’s favorite according to Victor.
However, Maggie also knew daffodils weren’t blooming this time of year, so Konstantin admitted he bought them to thank her now that he was leaving.
Maggie pointed out that Konstantin could stay as long as he liked and worked to convince him that he wouldn’t be an imposition.
At Alex’s apartment, Xander showed up and angrily pushed him to resign from the Titan CEO spot. Although Xander wanted Alex to give Maggie her job back, Alex refused.
Xander mocked Alex over the new father situation, but Alex acted like he’d rather have Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) as his bio dad than his inheritance from Victor.
When Theresa arrived with her luggage, Xander took some jabs at her for moving in with Alex now that he was Victor’s rich son.
After Xander exited, Alex urged Theresa not to pay any attention and suggested Xander was just jealous over his new Kiriakis fortune.
Meanwhile, Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) panicked when Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) offered updates on Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) picking up a new copy of the DNA report at the hospital.
Sloan pretended to get urgent news about a client and took off to fix this since she still had her own copy of the doctored DNA report.
Once Sloan realized the envelopes would likely be the same, she hoped she could pull off a switch before Nicole and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) read what was inside.
At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s Days episode, Nicole stopped EJ from using the back of the DNA report envelope to jot down a note.
EJ apologized since he’d already wrote a couple numbers before Nicole intervened.
Nicole explained that since she’d misplaced the previous genetic testing analysis info, she got a new copy in case they needed it.
EJ was eager to go over the DNA report with Nicole, but he got distracted over work. While EJ was in the living room alone, Sloan lurked outside and ultimately rang the doorbell.
That gave Sloan a chance to swap the envelopes while EJ was trying to figure out why no one was at the door.
Unfortunately, Sloan got confused and botched the switch, so she left behind the real envelope with the numbers scribbled on it before taking off.
Later, EJ once again had to postpone going over the DNA report with Nicole, but he locked it up in the DiMera safe so they’d know where it was.
Back with Eric, he got a visit from Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and hinted about her not liking Sloan. Marlena insisted she just didn’t know Sloan very well, so Eric hoped they could fix that.
Although Sloan wasn’t well-liked around town, Eric felt he knew her heart better than anyone and admitted she made him happy. That was all Marlena wanted for Eric, so she was supportive.
Once Sloan returned, Marlena suggested maybe they could all get together for supper soon.
As Monday’s Days episode wrapped up, Sloan privately shredded the envelope thinking her DNA report problems were over, but she didn’t realize she never switched the envelopes at all!
Sloan shredded her own fake copy instead, so Days of Our Lives spoilers say the DNA report in the DiMera safe could come back around as a major issue.
