Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, October 30, reveals that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) met with an emergency patient, who turned out to be Li Shin (Remington Hoffman). Li feared he was losing his mind, so he opened up to Marlena about his nightmares and difficulty sleeping.
After Li confessed that he was involved in the plot to brainwash Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) and send him after Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), he insisted he never planned to do anything like that again.
Li desperately wanted help to start a new life without Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) in it, so Marlena agreed to help him.
In the town square on Monday’s Days episode, Gabi got spooked by a guy in a zombie costume and gave Stefan updates on the time she crossed paths with undead Nick Fallon (Blake Berris) on Halloween.
Talk turned to a potential way to get control of Li’s shares, so Gabi suggested they needed proof that Li plotted to end Stefan’s life. That way, Gabi and Stefan would have leverage over Li.
At Stephanie Johnson’s (Abigail Klein) apartment, she let Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) inside and ripped into her ex for ghosting her, but Everett insisted he never wanted to break up with her at all.
Everett admitted he was hit by a car outside the post office, where Stephanie had send him to mail something for her.
Since Everett’s phone was destroyed and he didn’t have any ID on him at the time, the doctors didn’t know who he was.
Everett was placed in a medically induced coma – and when he woke up, he had both physical and mental injuries to recover from.
Stephanie seemed skeptical of the story, but Everett insisted he had no memory of her when he first awoke.
However, Everett learned to walk and talk again as he slowly worked his way toward his recovery.
Once Everett remembered Stephanie and how he never stopped loving her, he knew he had to track her down.
Everett kissed Stephanie, who kissed back before ultimately pushing him away since she had a live-in boyfriend.
After Everett confessed that he stopped by earlier and bailed after hearing a man’s voice, Stephanie realized that was when Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) thought a prankster was at the door.
Everett asked if Stephanie was married or engaged, so she admitted she definitely wasn’t.
Even so, Stephanie had moved on and couldn’t just pick up where she left off with Everett.
Since Everett understood Stephanie needed time to process all his news, he decided to take off.
At the pub on Monday’s Days episode, Chad confided in Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) about how he didn’t want to get married and potentially lose another person he loved.
Chad also felt that Stephanie’s desire to wed might be more about trying to nail things down after losing her ex.
Regardless, Chad felt trapped since he couldn’t go back to his past with Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) – nor could he move forward with Stephanie.
After Kate suggested she could watch the kids with Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) overnight, Chad went home to Stephanie and asked if she wanted to talk.
Stephanie thought they’d talked enough for one day, so Chad went to get ready for bed.
Once she was alone, Stephanie looked at a pic of herself with Everett on her phone and mulled over the whole bizarre situation.
Back in the town square on Monday’s DOOL show, Everett literally bumped into Gabi and thought she seemed familiar. Gabi didn’t recognize Everett, so he guessed he must have her confused with someone else.
Once Everett walked off, Gabi assured Stefan that she’d never seen that guy in her life!
At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s Days episode, EJ DiMera (Dan Feueriegel) smashed a glass over Stefan and Gabi getting the upper hand on him.
EJ was about to smash a gift from Sydney DiMera (last played by Berla and Brooklyn Baca) as well, but Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) intervened and tried to calm him down.
That led to Nicole admitting concerns about EJ getting too caught up in business and revenge – like when their wedding plans got pushed aside for his payback on Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun).
Nicole wasn’t sure she could trust EJ to be the father her baby needed, so he apologized and vowed to never lose track of what was important again.
Although Nicole didn’t seem fully convinced about EJ’s change of heart, they patched things up and focused on their nuptials once more.
EJ offered to marry Nicole right away, but they opted to delay their plans until the day after Halloween since Nicole didn’t want to wed on the spooky holiday.
