Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, October 9, reveals that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) were joined by Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) after he finally got off the plane.
Brady was annoyed over Tate trying to get the much older flight attendant’s number and made it clear that Tate would have to get a job to pay for all the damage he did at his school.
It was revealed that Tate pulled a fire alarm during exams and caused the sprinklers to go off, so $50,000 worth of repairs were needed.
Theresa acted like Tate was just a kid, but Brady was determined to get him hired at the pub so he could pay for everything himself.
Next on Monday’s Days episode, Bonnie Lockhart Kiriakis (Judi Evans) gave Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) updates on the warrant for Vivian Alamain’s (Louise Sorel) arrest and the new will that ensured she got nothing.
Kayla also received the news about Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) being revealed as Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) son and getting half of his estate.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Monday’s DOOL show, Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) filled Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) in on Alex kicking her to the curb at Titan.
Justin was disgusted and apologized to Maggie before reflecting on what a mess Victor made with his Alex revelation.
Maggie reflected on some family history and encouraged Justin to move back in the Kiriakis mansion since they all needed to band together.
Once Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) arrived at Titan to tell Vivian about her decision to quit, she realized Alex was sitting in the CEO chair instead.
Alex explained all the latest Kiriakis developments and noted that he had a controlling interest in Titan now, so he’d taken over the throne.
Although Victor was trying to make up for never acknowledging his son, Alex remained hurt over the deception and didn’t seem eager to move back in the Kiriakis manse either.
Stephanie showed compassion for Alex and acted like his family relationships didn’t have to change, but he continued to struggle with everything.
As for SJPR’s future at Titan, Stephanie decided not to quit now that Alex was in charge instead of Vivian and mentioned how they’d found their way to friendship.
After Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) showed up at Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) door, she gave him back the flowers that he sent for the birth of her grandchild.
Kate told Chad about Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) posing as Victoria Horton’s father and marrying Sarah Horton Brady (Linsey Godfrey) to protect them from Xander Cook (Paul Telfer).
Chad warned Kate not to meddle since that could make things worse, which led to him reflecting on the awkward marriage conversation with Stephanie, Kayla and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) recently.
When Kate pushed for Chad’s feelings about taking that marriage step, he mentioned that Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) hadn’t been gone that long.
Chad previously thought he’d spend the rest of his life with Abigail, so Kate suggested he should take his time when it came to figuring out his future with Stephanie.
When Stephanie came home and spoke with Chad privately, she insisted she was feeling pressured by Kayla and that she simply said she could see herself marrying him “someday.”
Chad seemed relieved since he liked the way things were in their relationship, but Stephanie looked uneasy as she embraced him.
Back at the pub on Monday’s Days episode, Kayla hugged Tate as she welcomed him back to Salem. Brady explained that his son had been expelled from boarding school, so Tate was irritated over him announcing it to the restaurant.
Tate also met Bonnie before talk turned to what was in Victor’s briefcase, so she explained about the new will, Anjelica Deveraux’s (Judith Chapman) letter and the news that Alex was Victor’s son.
Brady was stunned as he tried to process Victor’s secret and the fact that Alex got half of the Kiriakis fortune.
Theresa pretended to be surprised by all this, but she flashed back to opening up the briefcase and holding the pile of letters inside.
Over a father-son lunch, Brady mentioned taking Tate to see his little sister, so Tate assumed he was his father’s way to get to Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) now that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) had full custody.
Although Brady suggested it wasn’t like that, Tate claimed he was fine with being used.
After Tate decided to take a walk and get reacquainted with Salem, he left Brady to deal with Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) and the whole job situation.
Once Bonnie brought her luggage to the Kiriakis mansion, Justin told her about Alex throwing Maggie out of the CEO seat and hoped he’d get over himself before he did any more damage.
Back at Titan on Monday’s Days episode, a reporter called Alex to ask how he felt about being Victor’s son, but he declined to comment.
Theresa eventually showed up to offer comfort and fun, so she tried to rope Alex into going out to dinner with her.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Theresa’s secrets are bound to get her in trouble down the road, so stay tuned to DOOL.
