Days of Our Lives Recap: Monday, September 4 – Hypnosis Revelation, Bio Dad Connection and Risky Job Offer

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, September 4, reveals that Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) had good news for Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) since Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) had agreed to help her, but Ava insisted she’d changed her mind and acted like maybe her Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) visions were over.

However, “Susan” popped up moments later to remind Ava that she needed to tell the whole truth about the crash. Harris finally convinced Ava to let him call Marlena since she couldn’t handle this alone.

At the pub on Monday’s Days episode, Marlena gave John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) updates on “John Doe” (Dick Van Dyke), the mystery patient with memory issues.

Steve and John agreed to look into the man’s identity and try to learn info about his long-lost son, too.

John’s phone call to the nearest veteran’s hospital confirmed that a man fitting “John Doe’s” description went missing recently, so he headed over there with Steve.

Meanwhile, Marlena made her way to Bayview and put Ava under hypnosis. Ava told Marlena that she couldn’t remember anything new about the crash, so Harris was sorry that it was a bust.

Once Ava was alone with Harris, she admitted she lied to Marlena since she remembered what happened now and informed Harris that Susan was alive!

At Salem University Hospital, “John Doe” met Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), who was filling out paperwork while Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) had his stubbed toe checked out to be on the safe side.

Julie found out “Mr. Doe” couldn’t remember who he was, but he was hoping to find his long-lost son – who he felt was nearby.

After Julie told a story about Uncle Tommy and his time in Korea, “John Doe” thought it sounded familiar and wondered if he could be Uncle Tommy. Julie admitted Uncle Tommy already passed away, so “John Doe” couldn’t be him.

“Mr. Doe” eventually met Doug, so that led to them both singing with Julie while “Mr. Doe” danced with her as well. At one point, “John Doe” also remembered that he was married since he could picture his wife’s face.

At the VA hospital, Mr. Dugan (Yvans Jordain) talked to Steve and John about “John Doe,” who was believed to be Joseph Bell based on his dog tags from the Korean War.

Steve and John looked through Joseph’s military info, which brought John’s stunning discovery since Joseph served in the same army unit as his father, Timothy Robicheaux aka Yo Ling (Tobin Bell). That led to Steve drawing the conclusion that John’s bio dad must’ve known Joseph.

At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s DOOL show, EJ thought Susan had come back to him for a heartwarming reunion, but Susan acted like he didn’t seem to miss her if he was sleeping away on the sofa.

EJ woke up startled on the couch and looked pensive over the nightmare, so it wasn’t long until he made a bold move.

At Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) apartment, opened the door to EJ and was taken aback when the determined DiMera pulled a gun on him. EJ eventually tried to hand it to Xander and insisted he wanted Xander to take out Ava.

Although Xander felt guilty about his role in Susan’s fate, he put the real blame on Ava. That said, Xander didn’t want anything else on his conscience, so he refused to do what EJ was asking.

EJ offered to pay Xander handsomely and wrote a figure with plenty of zeros, but Xander still wasn’t interested.

In fact, Xander figured EJ probably just wanted get revenge on him too by putting him in prison for this. EJ made it clear that both Xander and Ava would pay before leaving Xander’s apartment.

Afterward on Monday’s Days episode, EJ called someone else up with a job for them to do and ordered a hit on Ava Vitali.

At the townhouse, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) was confused over Theresa Donovan’s (Jen Lilley) presence, but she insisted she came to pay her respects to Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). Tate Black (last played by Colin and Kyle Schroeder) had school, so Theresa didn’t bring him with her.

Theresa talked about having a breakthrough with Victor before she left to take down El Fideo (Andoni Gracia), so there was a flashback over the tender moment.

Although Theresa felt that Victor was rooting for her relationship with Brady, he argued that his grandad just wanted him with anyone but Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva).

Theresa laughed over how much Victor hated her sister, but she was serious about reigniting her romance with Brady.

After Theresa blamed Xander for leaving Chloe in Mexico, she said he was the reason she wasn’t with Brady now.

Brady reminded Theresa of how toxic they were to each other at times, but Theresa felt that the good outweighed the bad. Theresa planted a kiss on Brady, which he reciprocated briefly before pulling away and insisting this was a bad idea.

Although Theresa tried to remind Brady of their makeshift wedding in their bedroom and get him to remember happier times, he refused to get on board with their reunion.

Once Theresa left on Monday’s Days episode, Brady flashed back to exchanging vows with Theresa in that bedroom “marriage” ceremony that was just for them.

On a bench outside the pub, Theresa cried over Brady’s reaction to her reunion mission. When Xander appeared, he called out Theresa’s name and looked surprised to see her.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Brady and Theresa may still have another chance at romance coming up, so stay tuned. CDL will have other exciting Days of Our Lives spoilers, updates and news, so make us your one-stop DOOL source.
