Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, June 1, reveals that Nurse Whitley (Kim Coles) snuck Abe Carver (James Reynolds) out of the hospital and back to her home, which was filled with stuffed cats since she was allergic to real ones.
Nurse Whitley pretended to try jogging Abe’s memory about the cats by saying their names and claiming one was his favorite, but none of this was ringing a bell.
Abe mentioned Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), so Nurse Whitley had to cover when she didn’t know who that was.
Whitley kept pretending to be Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) and made a fake phone call to Chanel before reassuring Abe that she’d take care of him.
Back at the hospital on Thursday’s Days episode, Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) showed up to see Colin Bedford (Jasper Newman) and found Officer Henshaw (Tate Charles Doppler) handcuffed to his bed instead.
Sloan lashed out at Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) for the police department’s incompetence, but Rafe felt none of this would be happening if she’d come forward sooner.
Rafe also pushed for answers about whether Colin had reached out to Sloan, but she insisted he hadn’t and didn’t want him on the loose any more than Rafe did.
After Paulina and Chanel gave Rafe updates on Abe going missing, there were concerns about whether Colin might’ve kidnapped him.
Since Abe was dealing with memory loss, Paulina worried he might not even know he was in danger.
Paulina’s blood pressure and heart rate were elevated, so she wound up resting on a hospital bed fully clothed.
Chanel pointed out that they wanted to admit Paulina and reassured her mom about Abe coming home soon.
In the park, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) stopped Colin and tried to report his phone stolen since he assumed he was a real police officer.
However, Leo eventually said he knew this “naughty” cop and thought he remembered him moonlighting as a stripper.
Colin ultimately got irritated and let his true British accent come out, so Leo put it together that he was Sloan’s fugitive brother.
Leo ended up finding his phone and tried to interview Colin for his column, but Colin smashed the phone and took off.
When Sloan popped up, she learned from Leo that Colin had just been there and that he owed Leo a phone.
At the DiMera mansion on Thursday’s Days episode, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) admitted he knew Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) was pregnant and uncertain of who the father was.
Nicole initially blamed Sloan for spilling the news, but Eric pointed out that he had to pry it out of her.
After Eric questioned why Nicole tried to keep this a secret, Nicole cried over how she didn’t want to break Eric’s heart.
This might not be Eric’s baby – and even if it was, there was no guarantee Nicole could carry it to term.
Eric was sympathetic since Nicole was so overwhelmed and assured her that they were friends.
If Nicole had a miscarriage, Eric insisted it wouldn’t be her fault and that he’d never blame her for that.
Nicole was sorry for being such an emotional wreck, but Eric felt there was no need to apologize.
However, Nicole insisted that they’d both moved on and were in different relationships, so she saw no point in discussing anything about the baby until they did the paternity test.
Eric handed over his DNA sample and got confirmation that Nicole would call him as soon as the results came in.
At the pub on Thursday’s DOOL show, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) quizzed Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) about the virus outbreak that Nicole lied about and struggled to understand why she’d do that.
Kayla seemed on edge since she obviously couldn’t divulge Nicole’s pregnancy secret.
When Nicole called to reveal that she had the DNA sample, Kayla agreed to meet her at the hospital right away.
After Nicole found Kayla there like they planned, Kayla assured her that the DNA test wouldn’t take long. Nicole was eager to finally get past all the waiting.
Back with Eric, he filled Sloan in on the sample handoff over the phone and met up with Marlena at the pub.
That’s where Eric admitted Nicole was pregnant and said the baby might be his, so Marlena was taken aback.
When Nicole returned home on Thursday’s Days episode, she found EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) unpacking after his trip.
EJ admitted he’d looked everywhere for Nicole and asked where she’d been, so Nicole looked nervous.
