Days of Our Lives Recap: Thursday, June 29 – Hospital Emergency, Paternity Scheme Confession and New Party Guests

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, June 29, reveals that Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) wondered what Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) was doing at the DiMera mansion, so he said he wanted to check on her after hearing the news about Abe Carver (James Reynolds).

Nicole hadn’t heard what happened down on the docks yet, so Eric offered tragic updates. As Nicole cried over losing a father figure who didn’t judge her, she fell into Eric’s comforting arms.

After Eric admitted Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) pushed him to be there for Nicole, she guessed maybe Sloan had a heart after all.

There was some talk about Sloan wanting a baby with Eric, so Nicole confessed that threw her for a loop.

Nicole eventually experienced some cramps, but she blamed the peanut butter and onion sandwich she’d had earlier.

When the pain continued, Eric said he’d go find EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel).

However, Nicole pointed out that EJ was off on some mysterious business trip and that he’d only sent a few texts since he left.

Eric worried EJ was bailing on Nicole and this pregnancy, but she didn’t want to discuss it.

The pain persisted, so Eric finally decided that he’d take Nicole to the hospital and led her toward the door.

At home on Thursday’s Days episode, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) and Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) kissed after enjoying some fish tacos.

Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) showed up after giving Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and her mom some privacy since Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) finally came back.

Although Johnny hoped he could still take Wendy out to dinner, she said she already ate with Tripp.

Once Tripp was called to the hospital to fill in for another sick doctor, Wendy agreed to go out for dessert with Johnny.

At the hospital on Thursday’s DOOL show, Eric brought Nicole in and got Tripp’s attention. After Nicole explained she was having some searing pain, she mentioned this was a high-risk pregnancy.

In an exam room, Tripp assured Nicole that her vitals were good and went to get an OB for some blood work as well as a sonogram.

While Nicole waited, she took Eric’s hand and was grateful for his support.

In Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) suite, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) acted like Dimitri von Leuschner’s (Peter Porte) proposal wasn’t legit since he didn’t have a ring or get down on bended knee.

Dimitri suddenly dropped to the floor with a giant diamond and once again asked Gwen to become his wife, so she marveled over the massive engagement ring and romantic offer.

Although Dimitri was willing to withdraw his proposal if Leo didn’t approve, Gwen pointed out that she didn’t need any man’s blessing to get married.

Nevertheless, Leo eventually softened a bit and grudgingly decided he could support Gwen if this is what she wanted – though he still didn’t trust Dimitri’s motives.

Gwen wasn’t ready to say yes to the proposal yet, but she accepted Dimitri’s invitation to be his date for Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Gabi Hernandez’s (Camila Banus) engagement party tonight.

In the town square on Thursday’s Days episode, Johnny and Wendy flirted as they shared a banana split.

When Dimitri appeared, he met Wendy and wondered if Johnny would be at the party, which was being thrown at The Bistro.

Wendy admitted she loved a good bash, so Johnny decided they’d go together.

At their apartment, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) noticed Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) didn’t have much of an appetite at dinner.

Xander confessed he was distracted by Dimitri potentially marrying Gwen, who had been through a lot and deserved some happiness.

Chloe wondered if she should worry about how protective Xander was over his ex, but he insisted he was completely over Gwen.

That said, Xander acknowledged that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) would perhaps always be the one who got away.

Chloe appreciated the honesty on Thursday’s Days episode, especially since she’d been honest about her own struggle to get over Brady Black (Eric Martsolf).

Once Xander and Chloe decided they were done taking things slow, they stripped down and made love in Chloe’s bed.

Afterward, Xander assured Chloe that he had no regrets and hoped she felt the same.

Chloe smiled and suggested they should do that again to be sure, so they prepared to enjoy another round of lovemaking.

In the Salem PD interrogation room, Sloan brought Colin Bedford (Jasper Newman) up to speed on Abe’s grim fate.

Although Colin had nothing personal against Abe, he was all for anything that would cause Paulina and Chanel to suffer.

Sloan disapproved of Colin being so insensitive, so he mocked her epiphany and acted like she was all righteous now.

That led to Sloan flashing back to rigging the DNA test, so she admitted she was a hypocrite.

Sloan talked about doing something that could hurt Eric, so Colin pushed her to unburden herself since confession was good for the soul.

After Sloan came clean about Nicole’s baby belonging to either Eric or EJ, she revealed that swabbed her own cheek and fixed the results.

Colin was amused over Sloan’s plan and thought she was just leveling the playing field.

Sloan also came clean about guilt motivating her to give Eric a baby that was for sure his – though she claimed she also wanted to create a family.

Colin hoped it all worked out for Sloan and didn’t judge his sister for any of her scheming.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Colin’s newfound knowledge could prove dangerous, so stay tuned to see if he might use it against Sloan down the road.
