Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, October 19, reveals that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) brought Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) home from a shopping day, but Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) appeared and threatened to break the little brat’s face over what she’d done.
Holly explained that Rachel used almost a whole bottle of her expensive shampoo, but Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) urged her to dial down the outrage and privately made her an offer.
Kristen wanted Holly to get along with Rachel and suggested she could pay her to be Rachel’s math tutor.
Holly wasn’t interested since she could buy whatever she wanted once EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) was her rich stepdaddy.
However, Holly thought for a moment and decided she’d be willing to make Rachel a math whiz if Kristen helped her score points with a boy.
After Holly admitted Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) was the boy she had in mind, Kristen pointed out he was a man and suggested he was too old for Holly.
This little love affair seemed very one-sided to Kristen, but Holly acted like she just needed some help getting through to Johnny.
Upstairs on Thursday’s Days episode, Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) talked to Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) about Rachel being Kristen’s Achilles’ heel and the way to get to her shares.
Gabi and Stefan decided that maybe they could manipulate a scenario and make Kristen look like an unfit mother.
Once they had the proof, they could threaten Kristen with it and make it so she had to choose Rachel over the shares.
It was decided that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) could help with this plot, but Stefan pointed out they’d have to double-cross him in the end since Kristen would insist on destroying the evidence.
Gabi seemed like she had a plan that’d take care of everything, so she took off while Stefan secretly buttered Rachel up with ice cream.
Stefan also hinted about having a secret and got Rachel interested in playing 20 questions to figure it out.
At the pub on Thursday’s Days episode, Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) once again complained about his new job there.
Although Tate felt it was embarrassing to wash dishes, Brady wanted him to take responsibility for the debt he owed.
Tate finally relented, but he griped about Brady making him the center of his world now that he no longer had custody of Rachel.
Brady denied that, but he apologized for not being around for Tate as much as he should’ve been.
Tate eventually had an idea that’d benefit them both since he needed an excuse to see Holly and smooth things over, so he suggested he could visit Rachel and try to help out with the custody situation.
Once Tate arrived at the DiMera mansion, he overheard Holly telling Kristen he was a jerk.
Kristen hugged Tate and admitted he’d always be “Christopher” to her.
Since Kristen knew Rachel would be eager to see her big brother, she dashed off to look for her.
That gave Tate a chance to apologize to Holly and try to get their friendship back on track.
When Tate found out Johnny was the guy Holly was in love with, he hinted about Johnny being too old for her.
Holly wasn’t interested in Tate’s opinion on that, but she agreed to start over as friends and just move on.
Back with Gabi, she showed up to see Brady at the townhouse and asked how he’d like to get his daughter back, so Brady was intrigued.
At the hospital on Thursday’s DOOL show, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) sought Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) help on Dimitri von Leuschner’s (Peter Porte) release papers since his regular doctor had gone home.
Kayla handled the final paperwork, but she pointed out that she still needed to examine Dimitri before he could be transferred to jail.
In Dimitri’s room on Thursday’s Days episode, Dimitri pushed Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) to think of a plan since their happy ending depended on him.
Leo grabbed a nearby paperclip and decided he might be able to pick the lock of Dimitri’s handcuffs.
Once Kayla appeared, he kicked Leo out so she could do Dimitri’s examination.
Dimitri caught Kayla off guard by revealing that his hand was now free, so he gained the advantage and handcuffed her to the bed instead.
After Dimitri took Kayla’s phone so she couldn’t call for help, Leo came in dressed in scrubs and a blonde wig.
“Nurse Leona” was there to wheel Dimitri out of the hospital, so Dimitri tossed Kayla’s phone in the trash before they boarded the elevator together.
Once Jada and Rafe arrived in Dimitri’s room, they found Kayla handcuffed in Dimitri’s place and got updates on “Nurse Leona” helping him escape.
