Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Tuesday, May 23, reveals that Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) heard a noise, so they looked over and saw Colin Bedford (Jasper Newman) bloody on the ground in the town square.
Once Sloan rushed to Colin’s side, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) ran down from the roof to check on Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian), who was under the awning that cushioned the blow.
Talia was unconscious on Tuesday’s Days episode, but Colin was sputtering a bit nearby as Sloan reassured him about help being on the way.
Back up on the roof, Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) tried to keep Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) calm and took a call from Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), who let her know Abe Carver (James Reynolds) was in surgery.
After Chanel gave a brief recap of all the drama with Colin and Talia, she headed to the hospital along with Paulina.
Although Paulina was an emotional wreck, she calmed down somewhat and agreed to visit the chapel with Eric.
That gave Rafe a chance to ask Chanel some questions, so Chanel explained how Talia lunged at Colin and tried to wrestle the gun from him before they tumbled.
Rafe thought Chanel was saying that Talia saved her life, but Chanel fired back that “like hell she did!”
If it weren’t for Talia, Chanel argued that she wouldn’t have been on that roof in the first place.
Chanel pointed out that Talia confessed everything to her earlier – including how she drugged the biscuits and broke in Paulina’s office.
While Chanel made it clear that Talia would be dealt with one way or another, Jada introduced her sister to Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans). Kayla examined Talia and felt she was lucky since her injuries weren’t too severe.
In a moment alone with Jada, Talia acted like things just got out of hand with Colin.
Jada wondered if Talia actually still had feelings for this guy, but Talia suggested she didn’t know.
However, Talia did know she could’ve killed Colin tonight, so she wanted Jada to check on him following their fall.
When Sloan showed up in Colin’s room, his doctor insisted he was lucky to be alive. Jada eventually stormed in and handcuffed Colin to the bed as she placed him under arrest.
Once Jada was gone on Tuesday’s DOOL show, Colin ranted about doing what he had to do and insisted he needed a lawyer more than a sister right now.
After Colin pushed Sloan to represent him, she agreed to help her brother. Eric walked in and overheard that part of the conversation, so he looked rather uneasy.
Over with Paulina again on Tuesday’s Days episode, she got updates on Abe coming out of surgery successfully and was eager to see her husband.
Chanel also warned that she’d go to the DA and the media if Talia wasn’t arrested like Colin.
Although Rafe tried to send Jada home to rest, she insisted she was still on duty and returned to Talia’s room. Jada pulled out her handcuffs and began tearfully reading Talia her rights.
At the DiMera mansion, Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) gloated about her engagement to Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) before Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) opened up about Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) seemingly still being in Seattle with Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams).
Gabi gave Johnny a pep talk about his romantic situation and felt that he had to have hope.
Meanwhile, Wendy finally made it home and complained to Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) since she had such a travel nightmare coming back to Salem.
Li was also in a foul mood due to the divorce news, but he still listened to Wendy’s romantic predicament.
Once Li pushed Wendy to take her sweet time choosing between Johnny and Tripp, he felt confident they’d wait for her.
Afterward on Tuesday’s Days episode, Wendy arrived on Johnny’s doorstep and dodged a kiss since she needed to explain first.
Once Wendy explained how she liked both Johnny and Tripp for different reasons, Johnny was just glad to still be in the running.
Wendy didn’t think Johnny should view it as a competition, but Johnny didn’t mind and liked his chances of winning as he locked lips with her.
Later, Gabi showed up to see Li with the signed divorce papers, so Li apologized for hurting her. After Gabi suggested someone would be lucky to have Li, he doubted that she meant it.
Nevertheless, Gabi felt that the end of her relationship with Li was inevitable since they’d always been playing a game.
After Gabi suggested Li would see that once he found the right woman, she gave him a kiss on the cheek and left.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Li will have to figure out a path forward without Gabi, so stay tuned to DOOL.
