Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, October 10, reveals that Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) dropped a small bag as she walked by, so Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) spotted it and called out to give it back to her.
After Tate and Holly exchanged names, she heard about his school situation and suggested he should light up with her to relax.
Holly offered a joint from the bag she dropped, so Tate was tempted to join her in getting high – that is until he realized a cop was nearby.
However, Tate and Holly traded phone numbers and agreed to hang out sometime. When Tate leaned in for a kiss, Holly dodged it and wondered what he was doing.
Tate got flustered and apologized, so Holly acted like it was fine and explained that she was already in love with someone else she’d known forever.
In the town square on Tuesday’s Days episode, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) approached Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) table and was thrilled when he knew who she was.
Nicole assumed Abe got his memory back, but he explained that he just recalled some things from the cards Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) that been using to help him.
Nevertheless, Nicole opened up to Abe about how he’d been like a father to her.
Abe got some advice ahead of his date with Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) and could tell why he’d been so close to Nicole, so she was touched over the warm moment.
Afterward, Nicole bumped into Tate and reminded him of who she was, so he remembered her eventually.
Tate wound up mentioning his school issues and how he’d been dragged back to Salem.
Once Tate said he felt stupid about meeting a girl and getting rejected, he suggested she was already into another guy.
At the pub on Tuesday’s Days episode, Paulina got a pep talk from Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) ahead of her date with Abe.
Once Paulina made it home, she also got a confidence boost from Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens).
After Chanel and Johnny wound up at the DiMera mansion to watch a movie, Chanel went into the kitchen for snacks while Holly appeared.
Holly greeted Johnny and started gushing over his film expertise before Chanel reappeared with the popcorn.
When Holly heard the news about Johnny and Chanel getting back together, she plastered on a fake smile and said that was great.
Back at Paulina’s apartment on Tuesday’s DOOL show, she praised the wine selection Abe brought over.
Abe said he’d get the decanter and left Paulina hopeful when he automatically knew where they kept it.
Although Abe didn’t seem to read too much into that, Paulina took that as a sign of good things to come.
In Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) office, he kept trying to tell Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) that he had work to do and couldn’t get away for dinner.
Alex promised they’d do it another night, so Theresa pushed him to put that in writing.
Theresa also wanted to make it clear that this wasn’t about gold-digging and reminded Alex that she had no idea that he was Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) son before they slept together.
That led to Theresa flashing back to handling the items in Victor’s briefcase and hiding it during their Greece trip.
In the present, Alex admitted he believed Theresa wasn’t after his money, but he still wondered if she was using him to make Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) jealous.
Theresa argued that if Alex had been on the flight back from California with Brady and Tate, he wouldn’t be asking that question.
According to Theresa, she’d fought with Brady about everything, so she acted like she couldn’t stand him.
Theresa ultimately wore Alex down and got him to agree to dinner after all, so he made a reservation at The Bistro before they took off.
At Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Stephanie Johnson’s (Abigail Klein) apartment, she assured him that they were on the same page about not getting married right now.
Once Chad left to go pick up the kids from Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) and Julie Williams’ (Susan Seaforth Hayes) place, Stephanie got on the phone with Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and admitted she lied to appease Chad.
After Chad returned with updates on the kids begging to stay the night with Julie and Doug, he once again made sure Stephanie agreed about not rushing marriage and hoped they were good.
Stephanie reassured Chad before they headed to The Bistro for dinner, so that led to an awkward run-in with Theresa and Alex on Tuesday’s Days episode.
Chad spoke to Alex alone briefly, so he pointed out that he understood what Alex was going through since he went through a similar situation when he found out Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) was his father.
Although Chad knew they’d had their fair share of issues, he offered to lend an ear if Alex ever needed to talk.
Alex thanked Chad before joining a very flirty Theresa at their own table.
Chad joined Stephanie across the room and hoped that things worked out between Alex and Theresa – though he didn’t seem very confident that’d be the case.
