Days of Our Lives Recap: Wednesday, April 19 – Talia’s Security Cam Sabotage – Nicole Hides Eric Secret from EJ

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 19, reveals that Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) investigated the crime scene in the kitchen of Sweet Bits, but Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) didn’t see the need since she fully believed Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) was guilty.

Jada pointed out that she still needed proof against Sloan and thought maybe she could find her fingerprints.

Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian) piped up that her own fingerprints would be there due to work – and Chanel knew hers would be as well.

After Jada asked Talia for the biscuit ingredient list, her sister offered up the simple recipe.

Jada planned to compare that to the drugged biscuits and see what was in there that shouldn’t have been.

When Jada looked up and realized there were security cameras, Chanel admitted she forgot all about Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) having them installed last month.

When Chanel went into the app to check the footage, she realized it hadn’t recorded anything.

Talia claimed that was her fault since she got excited about having dinner at Chanel’s place and supposedly forgot to turn on the security cams.

Even so, Chanel remained convinced of Sloan’s guilt and didn’t blame Talia for the blunder.

After Chanel pulled Talia into a hug later, she said she knew Talia had her back. Of course, Talia seemed jumpy and guilty since she was behind the tainted dough.

When Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) woke up in the hospital, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) visited and got updates on the commissioner kissing Jada under the influence.

Although Rafe wasn’t in his right mind at the time, Abe pointed out the incident would still have to be properly documented.

Once Jada arrived, she backed up Rafe’s version of events and just wanted to put what happened behind them.

Jada also confirmed there was a hallucinogen in the biscuits as well as the victims’ blood samples – something the doctors hadn’t seen before.

That led Jada to the conclusion that someone was indeed trying to target Chanel and destroy her business.

At Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) apartment on Wednesday’s Days episode, Sloan stopped by claiming she was looking for a lost scarf.

However, Sloan’s behavior suggested she really just wanted to talk to Eric, who was apologetic about the steamy scene with Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) earlier.

Eric wondered how Sloan guessed they were drugged, but she thought it seemed obvious since they were seeing things that weren’t there.

Sloan confirmed that there was indeed a mass drugging incident due to some tainted biscuits from Sweet Bits.

Eric realized Sloan hadn’t eaten the biscuits he brought to her place, but she pointed out she refused to eat anything from Chanel’s bakery at all.

After Sloan apologized for overreacting during their recent fight, Eric apologized as well for his trust issues.

In the end, Eric convinced Sloan to have dinner with him after he took a quick shower.

At the DiMera mansion, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) found a distracted Nicole and wondered what she was thinking about.

Nicole opted not to tell EJ about her sizzling Eric flashback and got the news about the biscuits being drugged.

Once EJ told a humorous story about making copies of his rear end and trying to email the image company-wide, he was grateful he botched the password on his account.

EJ asked if Nicole did anything wild under the influence, so she made up a story about cutting all the collars off the new styles at Basic Black.

Afterward on Wednesday’s Days episode, Nicole made a phone call to Eric and admitted she didn’t tell EJ what went down between them.

Once Nicole got Eric to agree it’d be their little secret, she headed into her bedroom.

EJ stepped forward moments later looking suspicious, so DOOL fans could see that he’d been eavesdropping.

At the hospital on Wednesday’s Days show, Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) brought Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) flowers and smoothed things over with her.

Melinda didn’t hold what happened against Stefan and knew she’d acted pretty outlandish herself.

Since Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) was the woman Stefan truly wanted, Melinda urged him to take her the flowers instead.

Nevertheless, Melinda felt that both Stefan and Gabi owed her, so she hinted about collecting on that debt when the time was right.

Meanwhile, Gabi came home to Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) and let him know she was feeling better.

Li admitted that when Gabi hallucinated him as Stefan, he saw the love she had in her eyes.

That had led to Li realizing he’d never be the one Gabi wanted.

Li couldn’t take advantage of Gabi while she was so out of it and knew he had to give up on their marriage now.

Gabi and Li acknowledged that their deal was off, so Gabi packed her bags and got the ball rolling on the divorce papers.

Li said he’d get in touch with his lawyer as well and looked sad as Gabi prepared to leave.

Gabi wondered if Li might let her keep the DiMera shares so she could look back on their time together fondly.

Li told her “hell no” with a smile, so Gabi suggested it was worth a shot and headed out.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Li will have to find a way forward without Gabi, so stay tuned to DOOL.
