Days of Our Lives Recap: Wednesday, December 20 – Jada Talks ‘Bobby’ Marriage – Wendy’s China Move – Alex Cancels Christmas

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 20, reveals that Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) was frustrated since she’d promised herself that she’d solve Victoria Cook’s kidnapping case by the end of the year.

Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) suggested Jada should cut herself some slack and pointed out that it wasn’t going to get solved tonight anyway.

However, Rafe hoped Jada could solve the mystery of whether she’d move in with him.

Although Jada’s heart was telling her yes, she also felt like the universe was sending warning signs after running into Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).

Jada reflected on rushing into marriage to “Bobby” (Blake Berris) without really knowing him, so she didn’t want to move too fast with Rafe and blow it.

Rafe assured Jada that he wanted her to set the pace, but he gave her a set of keys anyway.

Jada declared it the best Christmas gift she’d receive this year and prepared to go do some celebrating with Rafe.

In the park on Wednesday’s Days episode, Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) dodged Konstantin Meleounis’ (John Kapelos) call and met up with Andrew Donovan (Colton Little).

Andrew revealed that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) asked Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) to help them identify Konstantin’s kidnapper accomplice.

The case ended up in Andrew’s hands, so he was able to identify Theresa’s face through the enhanced surveillance photos.

Theresa admitted it was indeed her, but she insisted she was just helping a sweet old man play the hero and try to win Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) over.

After Theresa acted like she just got caught up in some matchmaking, Andrew agreed to tell Steve, John and Shane that the surveillance photos couldn’t be enhanced enough for identification.

However, Andrew made it clear that Theresa needed to stay out of trouble and avoid Konstantin from now on.

Theresa promised Andrew and hugged him in gratitude before he got back on the ISA jet.

In the town square, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) could tell Maggie wasn’t herself, so Maggie confessed that she was missing Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) during the holidays.

Although Maggie refused to admit it, Sarah also thought this had something to do with Konstantin moving out.

Konstantin eavesdropped on the conversation and approached Maggie once she was alone. That led to Konstantin enjoying a cup of eggnog with Maggie and sharing more memories of when Victor was young.

Maggie ultimately invited Konstantin to celebrate the annual Horton tree trimming, so he acted touched and vowed to pick her up so they could attend together.

Outside the pub on Wednesday’s Days episode, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) ran into Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson), so they pushed each other’s buttons.

Xander suggested that the relaunch of Bella Magazine had been a failure and thought it was a mistake to put Theresa in charge.

Alex took some jabs at Xander as well, but Xander decided they should at least call a truce for the Kiriakis Christmas dinner tomorrow.

After Xander brought up the idea of breaking bread and putting their differences aside, Alex hinted that bread wouldn’t be the only thing broken if Xander kept up his usual attitude.

Afterward on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Alex ran into Maggie, who gave him a hard time about the Bella relaunch costs and Theresa’s inexperience.

Alex decided that due to all the tension, it’d be best if he skipped the family Christmas dinner along with Theresa. Maggie tried to apologize and salvage things, but Alex’s mind was made up.

In the park, Alex found Theresa and wondered why she looked so upset. Theresa blamed the stress of the holidays and pointed out her Christmas shopping wasn’t done yet.

Theresa also mentioned having to get some things for the Kiriakis family dinner tomorrow, but Alex said to check that off the list since they weren’t going.

Instead, Alex made them a reservation for a nice Christmas Eve dinner tonight, so he urged Theresa to join him at The Bistro.

Theresa really did have some Christmas shopping to tackle, so she made a phone call to get something gift wrapped at a store while Alex ran home to change.

Another call came in, so Theresa answered it and was annoyed over Konstantin being on the other end.

Theresa insisted she was done and that there was nothing else she could do to help with Maggie. Konstantin disagreed and warned that Theresa would indeed keep helping him.

At the pub on Wednesday’s Days episode, Sarah and Xander bickered over how to divide up Victoria’s Christmas schedule until she finally just invited him to attend the Horton celebration.

Xander wondered if he’d be welcome there, so Sarah insisted it’d mean a lot to her as well as Maggie if he came.

Once Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) came home to Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace), he lifted her spirits with some last-minute Christmas decorations.

Tripp also asked Wendy about some of her Chinese traditions growing up, so she shared some – including the eating of apples to bring safety and peace.

After Tripp had some apples sent over for them to munch on, Wendy thanked him for being so sweet.

Once Wendy received a call from her mother, she got updates on her father’s declining health. Wendy shocked Tripp with the news that her mom wanted her to move back to China.
