Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 29, reveals that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) claimed Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) was the reason for Everett Lynch’s (Blake Berris) firing.
Xander acted like Gwen wasn’t happy about the editorial defending Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart), but the investigative journalist in Everett didn’t believe Xander and felt he was hiding something.
At home on Wednesday’s Days episode, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) told Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) that he’d come to his senses and was willing to give Everett a chance.
Stephanie was surprised and skeptical over this sudden 180, but Chad suggested he didn’t want to waste time being suspicious and jealous when he could just do something about it.
When Stephanie wondered what Chad decided to do, he claimed he just meant holding himself accountable for his mistakes. Chad wanted to fix things between them and thought they should start by enjoying each other tonight.
Just as Stephanie and Chad started to undress for passion, Everett showed up at the door with updates on his firing. After Everett explained Gwen’s beef over the Leo defense, Stephanie felt guilty since she assumed her PR strategy got Everett fired.
Everett insisted it was a brilliant strategy and felt he’d figure something else out, so Chad wished him luck as he left. Stephanie struggled to get her mind back on romance once she was alone with Chad since she was clearly worried about Everett and felt responsible for his firing.
Chad argued that the buck stopped with Everett since he’d been in charge of the paper, so Stephanie finally relented and got their romantic night together back on track.
Next on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Everett left Gwen a voicemail and had questions about his firing, so he hoped she’d get back in touch so they could speak.
At the hospital, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) worked to convince Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) that Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) was bad news.
Although Steve made a convincing case for why Konstantin could’ve arranged Victoria Cook’s kidnapping with an accomplice’s help, Sarah and Kayla still thought he seemed charming.
In a moment alone with Kayla, Sarah filled her in on working things out with Xander regarding co-parenting Victoria.
Although Sarah didn’t want to do anything to jeopardize that agreement, she also knew she hadn’t been able to outrun her feelings for Xander and seemed open to what might happen in the future.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) overheard Konstantin accusing Theressa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) of only being with Alex for his money, so he wondered why Konstantin would say that.
Theresa suggested that Konstantin thought she was a gold-digger considering the timing of Alex’s new windfall, but Alex defended her in front of both Konstantin and Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers).
Konstantin apologized and got Maggie’s forgiveness when he claimed his suspicions were just about protecting Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) family.
While Theresa and Alex were in the kitchen with Maggie, Steve cornered Konstantin alone in the living room with new accusations. Konstantin got riled up as Steve talked about his trip to Greece and the fact that the locals said Victor expected his loan to be repaid.
Steve said he wouldn’t tell Maggie the truth if Konstantin left town, so Konstantin reeled over the blackmail plot and chose a different tactic to handle this.
When Maggie appeared on Wednesday’s Days episode, Konstantin came clean about the tablecloth that came from the bargain bin at Saxton’s and the loan that Victor wasn’t so generous about.
Konstantin swore that everything else he’d said was true, but Steve brought up the kidnapping and accused Konstantin of arranging it.
After Konstantin denied it, Steve wondered if he really expected them to believe some mysterious random person walked in there and stole Victoria. Konstantin insisted this person wasn’t mysterious and suddenly claimed to know who kidnapped the baby.
In the town square, Alex urged Theresa not to worry about anything Konstantin said since he didn’t know her.
Xander eavesdropped and asked if Alex was sure about that, which led to Xander acting like Theresa was hiding things regarding her relationship with Konstantin.
When Xander’s rant about Theresa took a nasty turn, Alex decided he’d had enough and punched Xander in the face. Sarah came along and freaked out over Alex’s actions, so she led Xander away to get some ice.
Theresa thought it was very gallant of Alex to do that for her, so Alex suggested she’d been through enough for one day.
Besides, Alex thought Xander always wanted what he couldn’t have and acted like Xander was just jealous of his status as Victor’s newest son.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Theresa has some other tight spots ahead of her, so stay tuned to DOOL. CDL’s where you want to be for exciting Days of Our Lives spoilers, updates and news, so stop by often.
