Days of Our Lives Recap: Wednesday, October 11 – Susan’s Paternity Vibes, Blabbermouth Tate and Two Bayview Releases

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 11, reveals that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) brought Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) down to the Salem PD and expected her to give a statement that’d put Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) away.

Susan refused to do that since Ava and Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) rescued her in London, so she insisted all was forgiven. EJ was upset since he still blamed Ava for the fact that his mother went missing, but Susan stood her ground.

However, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) pointed out that Ava wasn’t off the hook yet.

Although there wouldn’t be charges for the escape, fake passports or evading the cops, Ava was under a court order to be at Bayview before she fled.

That meant Ava’s fate was in the hands of her doctors, but Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) agreed to talk to them about the progress Ava had made and see what she could do.

Marlena also quizzed Harris alone about his feelings for Ava, but he initially acted like he was just doing what he’d do for anyone in that position.

Nevertheless, Marlena thought Harris went above and beyond, so she wondered if he was in denial about his feelings for Ava. Harris eventually admitted that he’d gotten close to Ava and cared about her, especially after the way they’d bonded in London.

Later, Marlena had good news from Ava’s doctors since they agreed she was rehabilitated and had agreed to her release.

Harris also thought he was in control and ready to be out in the world again, but he suggested he could keep working with Marlena on an outpatient basis.

Marlena thought that seemed reasonable, but she asked if Ava’s release had anything to do with this decision.

Harris denied that and called Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) to see if Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) would rent him Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) old room above the pub.

Kate insisted Roman would be happy to rent it and looked forward to welcoming Harris to his new home.

Harris ultimately gave Ava updates on his decision to stay in town and live above the pub, so she was glad he was sticking around.

In the town square on Wednesday’s Days episode, Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) mentioned to Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) that the girl he liked was named Holly.

Nicole wondered if it was Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis), but Tate admitted he didn’t know her last name.

When Nicole asked Tate to describe the girl he met, he said she was hot. Nicole whipped out her phone to show Tate a pic of Holly, so he confirmed that was her and grew confused about why she had a photo.

After Nicole admitted Holly was her daughter, Tate apologized for the hot comment and hinted that maybe Nicole could put in a good word for him.

Tate rethought the idea moments later since Holly was already in love with some other guy.

That was something Nicole didn’t know, so she grilled Tate and got nowhere since he didn’t know the guy’s name.

Once Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) summoned Tate to the townhouse, he found out Tate met Holly and was interested in her.

Brady acted like Tate needed to be focusing on other things since he’d be enrolled in Salem High and would start work at the pub.

When Marlena came home on Wednesday’s DOOL show, she was thrilled to see Tate in person again.

Back in the town square, Nicole was floored to see Susan alive when EJ brought her over. Susan saw that Nicole was pregnant and assumed the baby was Rafe’s since she was married to him as far as Susan knew.

EJ admitted Susan had missed a lot, so he insisted the baby was his and that he was now engaged to Nicole.

Susan asked if Nicole was sure the baby belonged to EJ since she wasn’t feeling any kind of vibes that connected her to it.

Nicole and EJ explained there’d been a paternity test, so Susan wondered if Nicole had been “whoring around” on her son!

Susan found out about the tainted biscuits drama and decided to let it go, so she assured Nicole and EJ that she was pleased about the new grandbaby.

At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) seemed annoyed over Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) asking Holly to join their movie night.

Holly sat in between Johnny and Chanel, so Chanel didn’t look too happy about that either.

Since they were watching Clueless from the ‘90s, Holly made a comment about thinking it might be in black and white or something.

Chanel and Johnny joked about feeling old, so Holly looked irritated and kept trying to steer the conversation in the direction of flirting with Johnny.

After Johnny had a coughing fit due to Chanel’s spicy popcorn, Holly left the room to get them all some drinks.

During a moment alone with Chanel, Johnny talked about Holly being pretty cool compared to most of the other DiMera mansion dwellers.

That led to Johnny asking if Chanel would consider moving in with him and braving the DiMera dungeon, but she suggested they shouldn’t get ahead of themselves.

Johnny hinted that they could practice by taking things upstairs to his bedroom later, but Holly came back and caused more problems by purposely spilling the drinks on Chanel.

Holly assumed Chanel would have to go all the way home and change, but her plan was thwarted when Johnny offered Chanel some clothes from upstairs.

While Chanel was changing, Johnny chatted with Holly about telling Chanel that she was cool. Holly asked if she could tell Johnny a secret and tried to confess her feelings, but Susan’s arrival interrupted them.

Johnny was ecstatic to see his grandmother alive and well on Wednesday’s Days episode, so he pulled Susan into a big hug.

Meanwhile, Nicole approached Holly to mention her encounter with Tate, so Holly learned he was Brady’s son.

Nicole also asked about the guy Holly was in love with, so Holly scolded Nicole for embarrassing her in public and took her in the foyer away from Johnny’s earshot.

Holly then lied that she just made the story up to let Tate down gently, which seemed to satisfy Nicole.

Tate texted Holly to ask if they could hang out tomorrow, but she texted back that he was a big mouth and refused to have any more contact with him.

When Chanel came downstairs and wondered what was going on in the living room, Holly suggested she’d never believe it and prepared to tell her about Susan’s survival.
