Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 4, reveals that Edmund Crumb (Adam Caine) refused to let Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) search his apartment since they would inevitably find his guests – and he couldn’t let that happen.
Tripp realized Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) was there and wanted to see his mom, so Edmund discovered he was the son of the deranged woman who tried to take Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) out.
Edmund vowed to put Ava through the same kind of pain and threatened to take Rafe out too if he stood in his way.
In the backroom, Ava and Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) encouraged Susan to send someone else a psychic message and try to get them some help.
Susan wound up pulling in an image from the living room instead and gasped over armed Edmund preparing to fire at Ava’s baby boy!
Ava freaked over Tripp landing in danger, but Harris started trying to free himself from his chains so he count intervene.
Susan pushed Ava to pray with her and praised the Lord when the chain broke free.
Once Harris rushed in the living room, he wrestled the gun away from Edmund – though a shot was fired toward the floor in the process.
That left Ava panicked, but she was relieved when Tripp finally appeared for a reunion.
Soon after, Rafe marveled over seeing Susan in the flesh and called Scotland Yard since Edmund was under arrest.
Back in Salem on Wednesday’s Days episode, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) talked to a new hitman named Bronson (Anthony Molinary) about how he wanted him to find Ava and finish the job.
Bronson was more than willing to take Ava out, but he wasn’t sure how to track her down since she was no longer a sitting duck at Bayview.
EJ suggested they’d focus on a different sitting duck in the meantime and explained why he wanted Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) deceased, too.
Since this would put too much attention on EJ, he brought up the paternity drama and said Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) would be their fall guy.
At the pub on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) tried to talk some sense into Rex since Sarah Horton Brady (Linsey Godfrey) was using him, but Rex insisted she wasn’t.
Kate argued that Xander wasn’t just going to back off and let Rex play daddy to his little girl, but Rex didn’t seem concerned.
In the park, Bronson was dressed as a gas repairman when EJ got in touch with him. The plan was to lure Rex to Xander’s apartment, which would become the scene of the crime.
Rex was indeed duped by a fake text that was used as bait, so he assumed Xander wanted to see him and headed over to his home.
In the meantime, Xander apologized to Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) for worrying her when he slept in his office after learning the truth about Sarah’s lies.
Although Xander assured Chloe that he no longer wanted to be with Sarah, she thought he’d feel differently once his anger subsided.
Chloe also admitted her feelings for Philip had returned and decided to move out since she needed to figure some things out.
Xander wound up giving Chloe their dartboard as a parting gift before they ultimately kissed goodbye.
Next on Wednesday’s Days episode, Bronson arrived claiming there was a gas leak and asking to check the apartment. Once Xander let secretly armed Bronson in, Rex also showed up at the door.
Back in the park, Chloe met up with Philip and shocked him with updates on her decision to leave Salem.
At the police station, Tripp was grateful to Rafe for letting Ava handle things her own way.
Rafe admitted Ava and Harris should really be in a jail cell or at least back at Bayview, but Tripp pointed out that they both knew EJ hired the hit on Ava.
That’s why Rafe was determined to do everything he could to take EJ down for it.
At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, EJ was stunned when Ava waltzed in with big news. Ava hinted about giving EJ a surprise gift that he didn’t deserve since he tried to get rid of her.
After Ava vowed to end this now, EJ wondered how she planned to do that. Harris opened the door behind Ava to reveal Susan, so EJ gaped at her in total shock.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Susan will have quite a story to tell EJ eventually, so stay tuned.
