Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that several storylines will heat up in the new year, so viewers will see some huge shakeups in Salem. We’ve got a 2024 preview, so let’s talk about some of the surprises that are coming up on Days.
First, Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) will play his cards close to the vest when it comes to John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) past and what he’s figured out.
This is building to an exciting storyline that connects to Days history since John’s time as “The Pawn” will be revisited.
Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) played a big role in that 1986 story as well and will be by John’s side for the curveballs ahead.
John has a lot of memories missing, but he seems poised to have a flood of new ones that could change his perspective and affect him deeply.
Total recall could change John forever and help him get a complete picture of his life.
As for Konstantin, he’ll establish himself as even more of a villain on canvas and will inevitably find a way to use his knowledge of John’s past to his advantage.
Meanwhile, teen drama will take center stage following Holly Jonas’ (Ashley Puzemis) overdose, which will lead to Tate Black’s (Jamie Martin Mann) arrest and some jail time thanks to EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) crusade against him.
Once Theresa Donovan’s (Emily O’Brien) relationship with Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) gets rocky, she’ll grow closer to Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) as they bond over Tate’s dilemma.
Theresa will eventually share a kiss with Brady that’ll cause even more problems, so DOOL fans will see this love triangle get messy.
Over with Everett Lynch (Blake Berris), he’ll make a dangerous discovery while he’s in investigative journalist mode.
Everett will eavesdrop on EJ and Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) confrontation, so that could lead to major revelations regarding Stefan and Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) connection to Clyde Weston’s (James Read) drug business.
Next, we should discuss a shocker that’s brewing at the Horton house. Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) will find a massive fire in the living room, so there’ll be a mystery surrounding who set it and why.
Of course, there’ll also be some health developments for Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) along with some romantic milestones for Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) following Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) new proposal.
As for Sloan Petersen-Brady, the secret she’s keeping regarding Jude Brady will weigh on her – especially with Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) relentless expenses and all the threats he’s delivering.
Here’s where things get interesting. According to Days Executive Producer Ken Corday’s interview with TV Guide, the story will take a stunning turn when Sloan demands that the baby be returned to Nicole Walker-DiMera (Arianne Zucker).
That doesn’t make much sense considering what we know so far. How would Sloan “demand” that Jude be returned without her whole scheme unraveling?
Sloan might get weary enough to consider coming clean and letting the chips fall where they may, but maybe Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) will ultimately convince her to back off the idea.
