Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) will face some snags when it comes to locking in his marriage to Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien). Dimitri’s interview with Gwen went well, so he’s undoubtedly feeling pretty good about where things are headed at this point.
Megan DiMera (Miranda Wilson) is pushing Dimitri to make Gwen fall in love with him and nail down an engagement ASAP.
The sooner Dimitri starts planning his wedding day, the better Megan will feel about securing the Von Leuschner fortune.
However, there’ll be some obstacles for Dimitri to overcome along the way.
Days spoilers say Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) will be a pest since he’ll grow suspicious of Dimitri and Megan’s motives, so that’ll leave him eager to protect Gwen from more heartbreak.
Once Dimitri’s ready for his magical marriage proposal, it could go horribly wrong – particularly if Leo makes a mess of this special evening with Gwen.
It’s easy to imagine Leo finding out Dimitri and Megan’s angle by then, so he might expose it to Gwen at the worst possible time.
Will Gwen and Dimitri’s engagement night get sabotaged?
Even if Leo isn’t the one who derails it, Days spoilers say other Salemites could plot against Dimitri and Megan’s goals.
Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) will land in captivity for a while thanks to Megan, so she might decide Gwen needs a warning about the snake pit she’s getting lured into!
It’s clear that Megan thinks of people as tools she can use and nothing more.
Of course, Dimitri does seem intrigued by Gwen on some level, so there’s the potential for him to fall in love for real.
Unfortunately, it could be tough for Dimitri to make Gwen believe it once she finds out about the fortune he stands to inherit and the pressure he’s been facing to marry before his 40th birthday.
Regardless, Days spoilers say Dimitri may pull off a grand gesture for Gwen in the coming weeks as part of Megan’s plan to gain a fiancée as soon as possible.
When it’s time for Dimitri to get down on one knee and pop the question on DOOL, will Leo, Kristen or someone else ruin his engagement attempt?
