Andrew Donovan (Colton Little) is missing, presumably kidnapped by Dimitri. While it seems that Dimitri really is the “European bad buy” as the casting description described, there is a twist.

There are many layers to Dimitri’s character. As Porte explained to Soap Opera Digest, Dimitri is a broken man with a good heart.
However, he is just learning to use his heart and express himself. The actor also implied that Dimitri is willing to take a dark path if it will help the people he loves.
While fans are seeing a very dark version of Dimitri, could there be a reason for that? It’s possible that Dimitri isn’t really the bad guy in this story.

As previously speculated, Megan claims to be Dimitri’s mother. Megan announced the bombshell to Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) during the Thursday, May 18, 2023, episode.
Megan has Dimitri helping her obtain a “get out of jail free” card. Of course, fans bring up some interesting points.
One is the identity of Dimitri’s father. Another question that viewers are asking is the backstory as Megan would only be with Bo Brady (Peter Reckell).

There is also the chance that Dimitri had a DNA test done, which Megan made sure was doctored. There is also surrogacy, adoption or perhaps this is coercion.

In any case, if Dimitri really isn’t Megan’s son, the reaction could be explosive.
Remember, Dimitri isn’t a regular man who is doing Megan’s bidding. Dimitri seems to be very good at being bad, which indicates lots of experience.
While Dimitri might have a decent heart, it is clear that he can go dark when necessary.
So, Megan must have given Dimitri quite the sob story for him to go to these lengths.
If Megan deceived Dimitri, it could provide the villain with a great redemption story.
