Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that there’s some sad news to report about a former cast member. Cody Longo, who played Nicholas Alamain on DOOL back in 2011, was found dead at 34, so this is certainly a tough loss for his loved ones.
There’s no official cause of death yet, but Longo’s rep, Alex Gittelson, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that the ex-Days actor died in his sleep.
On February 8, Longo’s body was discovered at a residence in Austin, Texas.
Longo’s wife, Stephanie Clark, passed along a statement through his rep as well, which indicated that his family is “shattered and beyond devastated.”
Clark called Longo “the best dad and best father” to their three young children: Lyla, Elijah and Noah.
Cody Longo, who sometimes used the name Cody Anthony instead, was featured in eight episodes of Days when he portrayed Nicholas Alamain.
Other fans might remember Longo best for his role as Eddie Duran on Hollywood Heights.
Longo was also featured in roles on Nashville, The Catch, CSI: NY, Make It or Break It and more.
In addition to Longo’s work in film and television, he had a music career that included multiple singles.
The former Days actor faced domestic assault charges back in 2020.
TMZ spoke with a family member who pointed to a history of alcoholism for Longo and claimed he did a rehab stint last summer.
Cody Longo’s life has come to a tragic end, so our hearts go out to the relatives and friends mourning him now.
