Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will look forward to adopting a child with Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) and becoming a father at last. It’s been Eric’s dream for quite some time, so he’ll hope this is finally the path to making it come true.
Sloan feels guilty for all paternity manipulation since Eric is actually Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) “baby daddy,” but she’s in too deep to reveal that now.
Instead, Sloan just wants to get Eric another child to raise since that’ll even things out in her mind.
Since Sloan was unable to give Eric a kid, she’s latched onto adoption as perhaps the only option left other than the truth.
Unfortunately, Days spoilers say Sloan and Eric’s plans for a family addition may come to a screeching halt.
DOOL’s weekly preview shows a distraught Sloan reacting to Melinda Trask’s (Tina Huang) upsetting news.
Sloan hired Trask as their attorney to navigate the adoption process, but Melinda will admit there’s a big problem during the week of October 16-20.
Will Eric’s criminal record become an issue and shut down any hope of adopting a son or daughter?
Eric went to prison after he drove drunk and caused Daniel Jonas’ (Shawn Christian) grim fate, so that could be the snag Melinda faces.
It seems like a good time for Days to bring up the fact that Daniel would still be alive if it weren’t for Eric.
Now that Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) is a teenager, it’d be great if we could hear her thoughts about her former stepdad causing her father’s demise.
Holly had a wonderful bond with Eric when she was a little girl, but that may change now that she’s older and wiser.
Between what Eric did to Daniel and the way he abandoned his family for Africa once upon a time, Holly may not be a huge fan of Eric at this point.
Regardless, Days spoilers say Eric will chat with Nicole and express excitement about the adoption, but everything may come crashing down when he returns home to Sloan’s difficult updates.
If Eric learns his criminal record is standing in the way of building a family with Sloan, he may decide fatherhood just isn’t in the cards.
Once Sloan exhausts all options when it comes to replacing the baby she’s keeping from Eric, will she change her mind about spilling the paternity secret?
