Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, February 3, reveals that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) was down in the dumps at the pub, where he watched a happy couple enjoying breakfast together. John thought back on memories of breakfast with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and grieved for her.
Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) checked on John and hoped that maybe things would get easier after the funerals were over, but John seemed doubtful.
Once Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) showed up for the meeting he called, he hurried the other patrons out of the restaurant so he could deliver some news in private.
Steve revealed plans for a case and admitted he was the client. Orpheus (George DelHoyo) was the target since Steve wanted to take out the man who cost them their wives.
Roman reminded Steve that he was a former police commissioner who took an oath, but Steve wondered where that oath got Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow).
John remembered when Orpheus first got out of prison and how he talked Steve out of killing him. If John hadn’t done that, he felt they’d probably be having breakfast with the women they loved.
John decided he was on board with the Orpheus murder plot, so Steve offered to let Roman forget he ever got updates. However, Roman felt it was all or nothing and decided he was in, too.
Steve, John and Roman put their hands together in the middle of the table as they agreed to make sure Orpheus never hurt another living soul.
Meanwhile, Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) got guidance from Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) in the afterlife.
Adrienne urged Kayla not to worry about Steve and got her to sign a document to enter the next rung of heaven.
Elsewhere, Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) found Kayla and Kate’s names on the list after all.
Marlena was relieved and ate the breakfast Susan offered before signing a document of her own.
Next on Friday’s Days episode, Kate entered a rather eerie-looking area and found Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Stause), who welcomed her to purgatory.
“Judge Ridgeway” revealed that she was in charge of deciding Kate’s fate, which Kate didn’t think was fair since Jordan hated her.
Jordan thought she was entitled to since Kate was jealous of her relationship with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and went digging into her past.
That brought Clyde Weston (James Read) – the stepfather who molested Jordan – to Salem, where he committed all sorts of terrible crimes.
If Kate hadn’t done what she did, Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) would likely still be alive.
Kate didn’t think she was to blame for that, but she was genuinely sorry for not cutting Clyde out of her life sooner.
After Kate apologized sincerely and explained how she’d changed, Jordan admitted she’d made a compelling case on Friday’s DOOL show.
Even so, Jordan wasn’t completely convinced and urged Kate to sign a document of contrition, which would supposedly burst into flames and send her into the fiery pit for eternity if she was lying.
Kate signed and nothing happened, so Jordan ultimately sent her to the next level since the rest of Kate’s fate was above her paygrade.
Once Jordan was alone, her eyes glowed yellow and her voice deepened.
The same went for Adrienne, who smiled over Kayla being so gullible. It became obvious the devil had a hand in some illusions to fool the women.
After Kayla and Kate joined Marlena, Susan said there’d been some confusion.
The documents were seemingly deals with the devil or some way for the women to sign away their souls.
Susan explained that Jordan wasn’t really Jordan and that Adrienne wasn’t Adrienne before ripping off her own disguise.
As Marlena stood with the others and saw who was underneath the getup, she blurted out “it’s you” and was taken aback.
In the town square on Friday’s Days episode, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) reeled over Xander Kiraikis (Paul Telfer) sleeping with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) before the ink on their divorce papers was even dry.
Xander didn’t think what he did was any of Sarah’s business anymore, so Sarah suggested she shouldn’t be surprised he already slept with another woman.
That said, Sarah wondered if it had to be Gwen and recapped all her transgressions. If Xander wanted to hurt her, Sarah insisted he’d succeeded.
Gwen finally ripped into Sarah for being sanctimonious and defended Xander, so Sarah acted like they deserved each other.
After Sarah told Xander there was no need for them to speak ever again, she presumed Xander and Gwen would now do what they did best and inflict misery together.
Sarah knocked the pastry box out of Xander’s hands as she walked away, but she seemed distraught as she looked at a pic of herself with Xander on her phone.
Back with Xander, he surprised Gwen by defending her and acting like Sarah goaded her into an outburst.
Xander admitted it felt good to not pretend he was someone else and thought people expected the worst of them anyway.
On Friday’s Days episode, Gwen smiled when Xander suggested they should prove everyone right and take the people of Salem for everything they had.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Xander and Gwen will carry out some sneaky revenge plans together, so stay tuned to DOOL.
