Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, January 13, reveals that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) talked to Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) over the phone and warned that she wasn’t going to snitch on Xander Cook (Paul Telfer).
Will Horton (Chandler Massey) caught Leo insisting his motto was to always look out for number one, but Leo pretended he was on a job interview where he needed a killer sales instinct.
At Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Chanel Dupree’s (Raven Bowens) place, they reflected on the death of Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans).
Allie was worried she would lose Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) too, but Chanel offered support before Allie headed to the hospital.
That left Chanel alone when Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) showed up to serve her with some legal papers.
Sloan was taking Chanel to civil court, so Chanel realized she was being sued for the wrongful death of Sloan’s mother.
Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) was also named a codefendant in the cover-up, so Chanel summoned her mom and offered updates once Sloan was gone.
Although Paulina was furious over what Chanel was going through, she wasn’t worried about the lawsuit and felt that her lawyers would make mincemeat out of Sloan.
At the Horton house on Friday’s Days episode, Leo convinced Gwen that they should meet with Sloan to go over their legal options in case this Xander situation came back to bite them.
Once Sloan showed up, she demanded a retainer before finding out about all the criminal activity Gwen and Leo were wrapped up in.
Since Sloan thought Leo and Gwen were pretty much screwed, she acted like a plea deal where they testified against Xander was the best she could do for them.
Since Gwen refused, Leo privately offered a different proposition to Sloan.
After Leo suggested cutting his own plea deal without Gwen, he insisted he wanted to testify anonymously because he couldn’t have Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) finding out.
In the town square on Friday’s DOOL show, Sonny admitted to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) that Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) turned off Stephanie Johnson’s (Abigail Klein) phone and that he felt horrible about it.
Sonny added that Alex was off trying to make amends, but Chad was livid and didn’t think that was possible.
Chad argued that Sonny’s problem was that he saw the best in people and was too trusting, but Sonny felt that Chad was too cynical.
Nevertheless, Chad felt that some people were irredeemable and assumed Stephanie wouldn’t be as forgiving as Sonny was.
Furthermore, Chad felt certain that Leo was going to cause more problems, so he insisted there had to be exceptions when it came to redemption.
At home on Friday’s Days episode, Stephanie pushed for the truth, so Alex confessed to turning her phone off while she was in the bathroom.
Alex explained that he saw Chad calling and didn’t want them to be interrupted again.
Stephanie was outraged over Alex’s pathetic insecurities costing her the chance to say goodbye to Kayla.
Alex had no right to police Stephanie’s phone calls like that – no matter the reason.
Although Alex understood and assured Stephanie that he was sorry, she snapped that sorry didn’t cut it and never wanted to see him again.
Stephanie pushed Alex to leave, but he begged her to let him fix this and thought they could get past it.
Unfortunately, Stephanie warned that Alex could spend eternity trying to make things up to her and it wouldn’t give her that time with her mom back.
Since Stephanie once again told Alex to leave, he somberly headed out before she cried alone.
At the hospital on Friday’s Days episode, Will and Allie comforted each other before Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) arrived.
Julie realized she’d forgotten her rosary on her dresser at home, so Will offered to go get it for her since Marlena couldn’t have visitors right now anyway.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Will’s on the verge of learning shocking news at the Horton house, so stay tuned to DOOL!
