Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) could decide to join forces. Days viewers know Alex and Gwen have been having some fun between the sheets, but this obviously isn’t a real love connection.
Gwen and Alex are on the same page about this being a casual thing where they simply satisfy each other in bed.
Of course, Alex and Gwen have developed a nice friendship as well, but their hearts belong to other people.
Gwen has been using Alex to get over Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) while Alex has been using Gwen to get over Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein).
Since neither attempt to move on has truly worked, maybe it’s time for Gwen and Alex to shift their strategy.
Now that Alex knows Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) is alive, he also knows he didn’t knock Stephanie out of saying goodbye to her mother.
Days spoilers say Kayla and Stephanie will have an opportunity to reunite, so Alex will remain relieved about the latest developments.
Deep down, Kayla’s survival news may have given Alex a glimmer of hope.
When Stephanie looks at Alex, she no longer has to see the man who shut off her phone and made her miss saying farewell to her dying mom.
Perhaps some small part of Alex believes he might still have a future with Stephanie.
Although Stephanie is currently dating Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), Alex might wonder if he has a shot with Stephanie after all.
Likewise, Gwen previously thought there was no chance Xander would ever want her because of Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey).
It seemed like Xander was going to be stuck on Sarah forever, but now he’s growing closer to Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin).
Although Gwen isn’t happy about Chloe and Xander’s connection, she at least believes it’s possible for Xander to move at this point.
Gwen may start to believe Xander’s heart is genuinely healing – and that could open the door to a reunion with her if she can steal his attention from Chloe.
Maybe Gwen will decide that if she backs off trying to make Xander jealous, she can pull him in her direction again.
It’s easy to imagine Gwen and Alex scheming together to win back the people they actually want to be with.
Days spoilers say Alex will begin therapy with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) soon, but that doesn’t mean he’ll shake his old persona completely.
Perhaps Alex will decide he can be a better man while still showing confidence and pushing Chad out of the way as his competition.
Unfortunately, Alex and Gwen’s efforts could come with some complications – especially on Gwen’s end.
DOOL fans can’t forget that Sarah is pregnant with Xander’s baby, so that shocker will change everything down the road.
