Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) dream honeymoon won’t go according to plan. When Gwen married Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte), she thought she was kicking off her happily ever after and was excited to head to Iceland with him.
However, Gwen doesn’t realize that Dimitri’s secret lover will be along for the ride.
Dimitri couldn’t handle being away from Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) that long, so he convinced Leo to take a flight to Iceland as well and stay in a separate wing of the same hotel.
It’s easy to see how this could add up to a recipe for disaster. Days spoilers say Gwen will walk in on a shocking sight, so DOOL fans can expect her to find Dimitri and Leo together.
Of course, Leo and Dimitri could potentially be unclothed and under the sheets when that happens.
If so, it could be harder to convince Gwen that it’s not what it looks like!
Plus, Dimitri’s feelings for Leo seem to be growing stronger and stronger.
At some point, Dimitri may feel like it’s time to be honest about the whole plan and hope that Gwen finds a way to understand.
Naturally, Days spoilers say Gwen won’t appreciate getting duped.
Whether the truth comes out now or later, Gwen’s ultimately going to be furious to learn her best friend has been sleeping with her husband.
This is a serious betrayal on both sides, but Leo’s actions in particular will hurt Gwen deeply.
Gwen will no doubt be feeling vengeful, so she may threaten to ruin Dimitri’s plot and knock him out of his inheritance.
Since this marriage isn’t legit, Gwen could vow to publicly expose Dimitri – perhaps with a giant article in The Spectator.
Dimitri has to have a real marriage with a woman for an entire year if he wants the Von Leuscher fortune.
That means Dimitri will lose everything if he can’t salvage this plan with Gwen and keep her on board.
As a result, Days spoilers say Dimitri may have some bargaining to do. It may require some begging as Dimitri tries to talk Gwen into a new deal.
Gwen could become quite wealthy if she takes her piece of the Von Leushner pie – and we’re willing to bet it’ll have to be a substantial chunk since she’ll be the one holding all the cards.
Dimitri already has to share the money with Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), so Gwen’s cut could leave him with even less in his bank account by the end of all this.
