Days of Our Lives Spoilers: John-Paul Lavoisier Returns as Philip Kiriakis – Replaces Jay Kenneth Johnson in Recast Swap

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Philip Kiriakis will look a little different the next time fans see him – but not too different since we’ve seen this version before! Jay Kenneth Johnson exited the role of Philip back in 2021, but it turns out John-Paul Lavoisier is the one who’ll play his return arc.

SOD confirms that Lavoisier will head back to Days this August, so the show will swap in a familiar recast.

Many DOOL fans will remember Lavoisier from his previous run as Philip Kiriakis, which aired from 2015-2016.

Of course, this isn’t the first time DOOL has gone back and forth on different versions of characters.

Before Abigail DiMera faced a grim fate, they did several swaps from Kate Mansi to Marci Miller.

When Jay Kenneth Johnson wrapped his run on the show, Philip was written off on a terrible note.

Days viewers will recall how Philip’s jealousy drove him off the rails, so he set Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) up to take the fall for a serious crime.

Philip faked his own demise and hoped Brady would go down for it, so he had some obvious mental issues that needed to be dealt with at a facility offscreen.

Most Salemites aren’t in the loop on Philip’s survival, but Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) knows and along with several other members of Philip’s family.

Kate will also spill the news about her son being alive during a conversation with Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) during the week of July 17-21.

That’ll set the stage for Philip to presumably be released from his treatment and come home to Salem once John-Paul Lavoisier shows back up next month.

Since John Aniston (Victor Kiriakis) passed away, Victor will eventually have to do the same and will need all his loved ones to gather for a funeral.

It’s good that Days is bringing back Philip in some form since Victor’s son needs a chance to say goodbye.

Philip will also get the opportunity to make amends to Brady, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) and anyone else he hurt, so we’ll give you updates as his return gets closer.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say John-Paul Lavoisier will slide back in the role of Philip Kiriakis for some great drama, so stay tuned.
