Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that the show has a golden opportunity since dead Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will eventually return alive and well. Let’s talk about Marlena’s dramatic revival and how it might play out.
Of course, Marlena’s loved ones don’t know her death isn’t permanent. As a result, they’re going through all the usual steps people take when a family member dies.
Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) didn’t want a funeral, but arrangements have been made for Marlena and Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) services.
However, we want to focus on Marlena for a moment since she’s obviously the centerpiece of this wild storyline.
Kate and Kayla’s deaths barely got any attention at all, but Marlena got all kinds of lovely flashbacks with John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and even had a scene where her soul left her body.
Soon after, Marlena was seemingly greeted by Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) in heaven, but it turned out to be the devil’s trick.
There are even more tricks looming, but Days spoilers say all this is building to the women returning from the dead.
Once that happens, Days writers will surely want to make a splash with these comebacks.
Could Marlena crash her own funeral and leave the people she cares about in total shock?
That kind of thing has certainly happened on soaps before, so it can’t be ruled out. Days will need some way to bring Marlena back that’s entertaining and memorable.
Making Marlena a funeral crasher would be a fun idea, but she could also rise up out of the grave if she’s already been buried by then.
The same goes for Kayla – and there’ll inevitably be an explanation to bring cremated Kate back, too.
Regardless, there’s been a lot of funeral talk since Marlena passed away.
