Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Monday, January 16, teases that Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) will be down in the dumps following his split from Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein). Stephanie broke things off since she just doesn’t see a way forward with Alex – not after he shut off her phone and made her lose her last shot at seeing her mom alive.
Now that Stephanie knows the truth about Alex, it’ll add to her heartbreak over Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) death.
Days spoilers say Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will come to Stephanie’s rescue and try to help her through this difficult time.
Of course, Alex will be heartbroken as well, but Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) won’t exactly be sympathetic when she approaches him at the bistro.
Sloan will see that Alex is drowning his sorrows and will do a little gloating about his attempt at finding true love.
However, we should also talk about Sloan’s conversation with Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart), which Will Horton (Chandler Massey) will eavesdrop on.
Days spoilers say Leo will discuss his potential plea deal, so Will’s going to learn about the kidnapper clown charade and Leo’s desire to hide this from Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker).
It won’t be long until Will updates Sonny on Leo’s latest transgression and proves to him that Leo is still the same hurtful schemer he’s always been.
Next, Bonnie Kiriakis (Judi Evans) will surprise Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) by urging her to open her heart to Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) once again.
Since Bonnie benefited so much from Justin Kiriakis’ (Wally Kurth) forgiveness, she’ll feel like she’d be a hypocrite if she didn’t support Xander getting another shot.
Justin will agree that filing for divorce immediately isn’t the answer.
It’ll be obvious that Sarah still loves Xander, so Justin will at least want her to take a step back and really think about her options.
In Xander’s motel room, he’ll feel like all hope is lost. Since Xander will be plastered and struggling, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will offer some good news.
Gwen will assure Xander that she has no intention of snitching on him – and he’ll eventually learn Bonnie isn’t pushing for legal ramifications either.
That means Xander will get off the hook, but DOOL spoilers say he won’t think it matters much without Sarah by his side.
Gwen will convince Xander that he’d feel better if he had a shower, so he’ll start taking off his clothes in preparation.
It looks like Gwen will get all wet and wear one of Xander’s shirts while her clothes dry.

Days spoilers say Sarah will pay Xander an unexpected visit thinking she might reunite with him, but she’ll catch Gwen and Xander in a compromising position.
From Sarah’s point of view, it’ll seem like Xander and Gwen must’ve slept together.
Xander may frantically insist that’s not what happened with Gwen backing him up, but Sarah will likely stomp off since she doesn’t trust either one of them.
