Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that a familiar face will head back to Salem on September 7. According to SOD, Rachel Melvin will reprise the role of Chelsea Brady when she appears for Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) funeral, so yet another returning character will be part of John Aniston’s tribute.
Melvin played Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Billie Reed’s (Lisa Rinna) daughter from 2005 to 2009, so she shared plenty of exciting scenes with Aniston and admired him a great deal.
In fact, Rachel Melvin spoke to Martha Madison (Belle Black Brady) and mentioned that she’d like to pay her respects to Aniston after his passing.
The returning DOOL star suspects that may have led to the call that would come later.
Melvin’s manager eventually delivered updates from Days since they wanted Chelsea Brady to come back for a memorial episode.
That got an enthusiastic response from Melvin since she really wanted to be part of Victor’s epic farewell.
Of course, this is just a short popup appearance for now, but could Chelsea return for a longer stint down the road?
It would certainly be nice to have Chelsea back for a real storyline once Bo inevitably awakens from his coma.
Regardless, Chelsea will return to Days for Victor’s funeral and will share some heartfelt words about what her grandfather meant to her.
There’ll be some emotional moments as Chelsea and her loved ones remember what a force Victor was.
Naturally, Days will deliver more flashbacks as they help fans say goodbye to Victor and his legendary one-liners.
Victor will be remembered for his wit, fierce business practices and the soft spot that he reserved for those closest to him.
Are you looking forward to seeing Rachel Melvin as Chelsea Brady again? Are there any other big returns that you’d like to see in the future?
