Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, March 13, reveals that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) admitted to Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) that his conversation with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) couldn’t have gone worse.
After Xander talked about it being easier for Gwen if he left the paper, Maggie suggested maybe he should take over for Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) at Titan.
Xander thought Maggie had plenty of reasons not to hire a criminal like him – and Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) disapproval was at the top of the list. However, Maggie made it clear that she was in charge.
Once Xander reflected on losing Sarah and expressed appreciation for Maggie’s loyalty, she said she might be asking for that loyalty in return soon.
Since Xander was concerned about Gwen on Monday’s Days episode, he sent her a text apologizing for earlier and asked if she was all right.
While Gwen and Alex shared drinks at the bar, they vented to each other about their Xander and Maggie problems. That ultimately led to Alex asking if Gwen wanted to get out of there, so they headed back to her hotel room.
Although Gwen was hesitant to hook up with Alex at first, she suddenly shifted gears after seeing Xander’s text.
Gwen tore Alex’s shirt open and kissed him as she jumped into his arms, so they were well on their way to lovemaking.
At home, Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) was furious with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) after Tripp Johnson’s (Lucas Adams) updates.
Tripp insisted that Johnny used his hospital badge to gain unauthorized access to the lab and steal test results.
Johnny was sorry for getting Tripp in trouble, but he also acted like the move was justified since he had to get answers about the drugging situation.
Wendy kicked Johnny out and wondered what kind of relationship they could have without trust.
However, Johnny vowed to text Wendy tomorrow and hoped she’d understand once she had time to think about this.
Once Johnny was gone, Wendy reflected on the warning Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) had given her about Johnny’s impulsive and selfish behavior. Wendy also took Tripp’s hand and leaned in, so they looked like they were about to kiss.
At The Bistro on Monday’s Days episode, Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) tried to charm Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) and remind her of when they were happy together.
Although Li hoped to find his way back to a blissful relationship soon, Gabi cut the evening short and wanted to go home.
Unfortunately, Gabi and Li’s arrival put a stop to Tripp and Wendy’s flying sparks. Although Li tried to get Tripp to take the sofa, Wendy shut down the idea and left her brother in the less comfortable spot.
In a moment alone with Li, Gabi showed off a skimpy bedroom outfit and made it clear that it was for Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) when the six months were up.
Li realized Gabi wanted to torture him, so Gabi talked about how she’d be dreaming of all the things Stefan would do to her in the meantime.
At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s Days episode, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) inadvertently gulped down the drugged martini since Stefan swapped the glasses back.
Soon after, Stefan gloated to Mr. Wei Shin (Clyde Kusatsu) about plans to invest in a South African startup company and impressed him.
EJ seemed irritated over being left out of the loop, but Stefan acted like they were even since this dinner with Mr. Shin was a surprise.
At one point, EJ stumbled a bit and felt warm as he started to feel the effects of the drug.
Even so, EJ reassured Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and felt confident the drug would kick in for Stefan any minute now.
When Stefan tried to talk over him, EJ lashed out. It led to EJ telling Stefan to shut up and declaring that Mr. Shin was old, not deaf!
Once EJ apologized for his meltdown, Nicole worried that maybe he hadn’t switched the right glasses, but EJ was certain that he had.
After dinner on Monday’s DOOL show, Stefan pulled off another double switch, so EJ drank a drugged cup of coffee.
That led to EJ seeming more out of it as Johnny arrived.
EJ eventually got into another confrontation with Stefan and shoved him, so Johnny and Nicole led EJ upstairs to lie down.
Stefan played dumb with Mr. Shin, who acted like EJ had given him good reasons to worry about his well-being and suggested he might not be Stefan’s equal for long.
Upstairs, Johnny admitted to EJ that he tipped Stefan off about someone drugging him. EJ declared that he was ruined and fell back on the bed dramatically.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Nicole will try to help EJ fight back soon, which could mean bad news for Stefan!
