Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, May 1, reveals that Belle Brady (Martha Madison) was furious with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) for summoning her over some life-and-death emergency that clearly wasn’t serious.
EJ just wanted Belle’s help getting rid of Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) at DiMera Enterprises, so she lashed out since Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) had an actual life-and-death situation going on.
Once Belle explained how Shawn shot back-from-the-dead Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) because of a misunderstanding, EJ thought it sounded like Shawn really screwed up.
Belle punched EJ in the stomach for being insensitive, so he offered the DiMera jet to make things up to her.
Although Belle appreciated the offer on Monday’s Days episode, she opted to stay in Salem since she had a trial going on.
When Shawn bumped into Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) at the hotel in Greece, he shut down Harris’ attempts to take the blame. Shawn was tired of hearing everyone make excuses for him since he was the one who pulled the trigger on his own father.
In the hospital waiting area on Monday’s Days episode, Andrew Donovan (Colton Little) worried since Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) must’ve taken a boat off the island, but she wasn’t an experienced sailor.
Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) thought Kate was a survivor and refused to believe she’d cheated death multiple times only to die at sea.
After Andrew mentioned needing reinforcements, he found Harris and offered updates on Kate. Since Andrew needed help with the search, he offered Harris a shot at redemption.
On a fishing boat in Monday’s DOOL show, Kate flashed back to the last time she was trapped cutting fish on one and wondered why this kept happening to her.
Once Kate yelled for help, Mauricio (Ramon Fernandez) the guard appeared. Kate was grateful to Mauricio for saving her off her own boat, but she was desperate to reach Roman and let him know she was OK.
In the end, Mauricio forced Kate to trade the ring Roman gave her for exactly one phone call. When that phone call didn’t go through, Mauricio refused to allow another and left Kate in despair.
Back at the hospital, Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) found Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) outside. After Kayla delivered the good news about Kate’s survival, Chad picked Stephanie up with glee as he celebrated.
Although Chad was eager to see Kate, Kayla pointed out there were still questions that needed to be answered and suggested going back inside.
Next on Monday’s Days episode, Shawn took a phone call from Belle and filled her in on Bo squeezing Hope Williams Brady’s (Kristian Alfonso) hand, but the doctors still weren’t expecting Bo to wake up from his coma anytime soon.
Despite Belle’s attempt to stay positive, Shawn was clearly struggling to keep hope alive.
