Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that the show’s gearing up for a triple resurrection now that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) are all dead.
The plan is obviously to bring these deceased DOOL characters back, but we can’t ignore the fact that Kate’s final wishes could make that tricky.
Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) had Kate cremated since that was what she wanted, but he sure did it in a hurry!
Kate’s soul will surely need a body to go back to when the time comes, so this presents a bit of a hurdle.
How are Days writers going to work around that and make it so Kate can come home to Salem?
Of course, they knew what they were doing with Kate’s cremation. That’s not something they’re going to ignore once Kate’s ready to return from the dead.
Instead, it’ll probably lead to some comical moments as Kate worries she can’t go back without an earthly body.
Kate may fear she’ll be the odd woman out while Kayla and Marlena get reunions with all their loved ones.
However, there are a couple of easy solutions Days could go with.
It’s possible the show will work a miraculous or even magical angle where we’re supposed to believe Kate’s ashes could still come together in whole human form.
On the other hand, the even easier explanation would be to reveal Kate was never cremated at all.
There might’ve been some confusion that resulted in the wrong body being incinerated.
Roman may have received someone else’s ashes by mistake – whether it be some nobody who isn’t essential to the story or another character that Days fans would recognize.
Either way, the important thing is a blunder like this would make it simple to explain Kate’s eventual resurrection.
Kate’s return from the dead can still be salvaged once the writers offer updates on the situation.
In other words, Kate’s body may still be intact and available to her when the time is right, so that’s good news for her future.
