Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) seems to be on the verge of reconnecting with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) in the bedroom. Let’s discuss Xander’s dilemma and how things might get even worse for him on DOOL!
Although Gwen recently gave Xander some advice and urged him not to give up on Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), it’s clear that Gwen still wants Xander for herself deep down.
Meanwhile, Xander is losing hope since Sarah announced plans to file for divorce. Since Sarah can’t trust Xander anymore, she just doesn’t see a way forward for this marriage.
That’s why Xander will be so distraught during the week of January 16-20. Days spoilers say Gwen will stop by to check on Xander again, so she’ll make a sad discovery when she arrives.
Xander will be holed up in his motel room alone with nothing but booze to keep him company. It’ll be a pretty familiar scene since Gwen already found Xander in a similar state once before.
Nevertheless, Gwen will try to come to Xander’s rescue, but this could also lead to some temptation. It’s easy to imagine Xander encouraging Gwen to drink with him and growing closer to her as he seeks comfort.
Days spoilers say Xander’s inhibitions will be lowered – not to mention he knows he owes Gwen a big favor for everything she’s done for him. Gwen may finally collect on that favor by landing in bed with Xander at his low point.
That could be a problem since Sarah might consider giving Xander another chance after all. While Gwen is helping drunk Xander cope, Bonnie Kiriakis (Judi Evans) will be busy offering Sarah guidance.
It turns out Bonnie will have a surprising opinion when it comes to Sarah’s future with Xander and what she should do.
Despite Bonnie’s fury, she might acknowledge that Xander is crazy about Sarah and has carried out all these wild plots out of love – even if it’s the messed-up kind.
Days spoilers suggest Bonnie may relate to Xander on some level and point out that Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) was able to get past a lot of her mistakes. It could lead to Bonnie pushing Sarah to give Xander that same compassion.
Unfortunately, the timing may not be great if Sarah perhaps visits Xander when he’s in bed with Gwen. On the other hand, Xander might convince half-naked Gwen to hide out in the bathroom or something along those lines.
Either Sarah could get updates on Xander’s move right away – or he could set himself up with a ticking time bomb if he tries to hide another secret.
Regardless, Xander could ruin his last chance with Sarah if he hops in bed with Gwen too fast! That could lead to bad news and serve as the final nail in Xander’s marriage coffin.
