Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) is hitting the bottle. As Shawn’s life shatters during his alcohol and guilt storyline, will he end up getting arrested? Not only would Shawn lose his career and family, he could also go to prison. Perhaps Shawn will face Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), who could help get the detective back on the right path.
Shawn Brady’s Overwhelming Guilt
DOOL spoilers reveal that Shawn, Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) and Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso) all mourned for Bo Brady (Peter Reckell).
At the time of Bo’s passing, he had an inoperable brain tumor. Bo passed away in Hope’s arms, which fans all watched with tears in their eyes.
So, it was a shock to find out Bo was really alive. Then, it was an even bigger shock to find out that Megan Hathaway DiMera (Miranda Wilson) was using Bo in her experiments and schemes.
Shawn thought he was saving his mother by shooting his father.
It was only afterward that the detective learned that Hope actually got through to Bo. Unfortunately, Bo is still in a coma and Shawn can’t shake the guilt.
DOOL Spoilers: Alcoholism Storyline
Right now, Shawn is consumed with guilt over what happened to Bo. Even though Shawn’s intentions were good, Bo is still in a coma.
What makes it worse is that they thought Bo was gone all of these years. So, Shawn, Hope and Ciara never got to spend any real time with Bo before the coma. It just makes the agony for Shawn even worse.
Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) urged Shawn not to blame himself. However, Harris doesn’t know Shawn and is the reason the gun was fired in the first place.
More recently, Belle caught Shawn reaching for a bottle of booze. Belle tried to get through to Shawn. Belle even told Shawn bluntly to use healthier coping mechanisms.
Plus, Belle and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) catch up this week. So, Belle will probably update Brady on Shawn’s guilt.
When Belle mentions Shawn’s drinking, Brady could step in. After all, Brady knows all about guilt and addiction.
Belle Brady’s Tough Love
Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Belle and Shawn have always tried to support each other.
Even when it was difficult, and the marriage seemed doomed. Belle will continue trying to help Shawn.
However, people sometimes have to use tough love and let the chips fall where they may.

With a smorgasbord of returning characters, could Lucas be next? Fans were pretty upset about Lucas going to prison.
However, maybe there is a reason why Lucas had to go behind bars.
Perhaps Shawn continues drinking and gets arrested.
If Shawn ends up at Statesville Prison, could Lucas help the disgraced detective start a new chapter?
It just might be the reboot that Shawn Brady needs to come back even stronger than before.
