Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease if Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) is desperate enough, she could steal Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) baby. Nicole may not be due until January, but if for whatever reason the adoption process they are trying takes too long or they’re denied, there has to be a baby!
Back several months ago, Jessica Serfaty accidentally leaked a piece of DOOL script in which Sloan asked Eric how the baby is. Since that time, both Sloan and Nicole indeed became pregnant, but Sloan miscarried-so whose baby could she have been talking about?
Days of Our Lives show that Nicole is very pregnant, and looks like she could deliver early-if the baby’s due in January then she’s near the end of her first two trimesters.
The baby, though premature, could probably survive but he or she might be in an incubator at the hospital for six to eight weeks. Could Sloan really be desperate enough to kidnap a preemie, knowing it very well may not survive?
On the other hand, this is likely not to take place for a few more months, with Sloan and Eric just starting the adoption process.
But it’s hard for couples who are older-which Eric is, to adopt a baby; usually if they are chosen to adopt it will be an older child, or teenager.
Other future DOOL spoilers show EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) finds out that Nicole’s baby is Eric, and acts out in a rage-but would he reject the baby and take it from Nicole?
That doesn’t seem very likely, if there’s a baby napping it’s more than likely Sloan who would do it out of desperation to give Eric a baby.
One other scenario that could happen is she could swap an adoptive newborn just received with Nicole’s baby, in an extremely complicated plot.
Sloan would have a difficult time trying to pull off a fake pregnancy, since Eric was right there when she was told she had a rare condition that caused the miscarriage.
Besides, they’ve moved in together so it would be very difficult to fake anything of that magnitude without Eric knowing about it.
But Sloan would absolutely have no compunctions about kidnapping Eric and Nicole’s baby so Eric could raise his own child, however she managed it; even swapping a newborn they were adopting.
They could find a teenage mother about the same as Nicole in her pregnancy and arrange to pick the baby up at the hospital. Sloan could arrange for a diversion so she could make the swap with Eric nor anyone else being the wiser!
