Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, January 19, reveals that Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) said there was a code blue, so John Black (Drake Hogestyn) raced from the chapel to check on Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).
Meanwhile, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) tried to drain the fluid from Marlena’s lungs, but then she went into V-fib.
Once Marlena’s heart was shocked with the paddles, she was stabilized – though Will Horton (Chandler Massey) talked about her receiving palliative care at this point.
Near the waiting area, Belle Brady (Martha Madison) got updates along with Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and wished she’d come home from Johannesburg sooner.
Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) was still there with Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) in case she needed extra therapy to avoid setbacks.
In Marlena’s room again, she feared she didn’t have much time left. John tried to reassure Marlena before Belle appeared and cried over her mom’s condition.
Marlena pulled Belle close once her daughter snuggled up in bed with her, so that brought some emotional DOOL moments.
Afterward on Thursday’s Days episode, Belle read to Marlena until she fell asleep.
Back in the chapel, Brady got a call from Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) about the warrant out for Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) arrest.
Allie heard the confession tape story and was impressed over Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) helping sink Kristen.
Once Brady realized Kristen might try to see Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater), he called Rachel’s friend’s mom since she was supposed to pick Rachel up from school.
Brady was alarmed to learn Kristen picked Rachel up instead and ran off to find her.
That left Allie to spread the Rachel kidnapping news to John, Will and Eric in the waiting area.
Next on Thursday’s Days episode, Eric led a prayer in the chapel while John sat by Marlena’s bedside.
John encouraged Marlena to get more sleep, but she didn’t want to do that.
Instead, Marlena begged John to take her home, which is apparently where she hoped to die.
In the park, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) found out from Rachel that she was skipping town with Mommy on a timeout.
After Kristen sent Rachel to play nearby, she bickered with EJ about deserving to be in her daughter’s life.
EJ threatened to call Brady, but Kristen tried to yank the phone away and delivered a threat of her own.
If EJ ratted her out, Kristen vowed to tell Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) that EJ stood by while Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) brainwashed him.
EJ eventually relented and ended up back at the DiMera mansion, where Rafe and Jada quizzed him about Kristen’s whereabouts.
Since EJ didn’t want to risk Kristen’s revenge, he stayed tight-lipped about running into her earlier.
Later, EJ had a drink and spoke to Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) portrait about Kristen overplaying her hand and underestimating her opponent.
EJ really thought Kristen was going down this time since Brady’s devotion to Rachel matched hers.
At the townhouse, Kristen was ready to bolt with Rachel and her backpack, but Brady blocked their path when he showed up at the door.
Brady assured Rachel that she did nothing wrong and scrapped the trip before sending her to draw a picture for Marlena in her room.
Once Brady ranted about Kristen never taking Rachel’s feelings into consideration, he acted like he might snap one day and reveal exactly who Kristen was to their daughter.
Rafe stepped forward with Jada on Thursday’s Days episode, so Kristen was arrested for the murder of Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) as well as the attempted murder of Marlena.
