Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 2, reveals that Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) walked in Titan and found Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) looking awfully comfortable in the CEO chair.
Alex felt certain Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) would announce him as Sonny Kiriakis’ (Zach Tinker) replacement soon and got a bit flirty with Stephanie about being her boss.
Stephanie and Alex ended up sharing a rather charged moment as they shook on the concept of boundaries.
Meanwhile, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) ripped up Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) first gossip column since it was full of made-up stories and sent him off to find some real dirt.
That led Leo to Titan, where he quizzed Alex with a recorder in front of Stephanie.
Leo sought confirmation that Alex broke up Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Chanel Dupree’s (Raven Bowens) relationship.
Stephanie was shocked to hear Chanel caught Alex with Allie – and her eyes bugged out even more over the threesome they previously had.
Alex smashed Leo’s recorder and ordered him to leave before scrambling to explain to Stephanie.
Although Alex insisted it wasn’t as salacious as Leo made it sound, Stephanie felt that Alex’s personal life was none of her business.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Thursday’s Days episode, Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) showed up looking for Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), who wasn’t there.
Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) admitted she knew about Rex sleeping with Sarah thanks to Henderson and questioned Rex’s intentions.
Rex insisted it was a one-time thing and made it clear that he just wanted to be there for Sarah as a friend.
Since Rex was ready to head back to Chicago, he planned to ask Sarah to move to the same city since he could get her a great job at the hospital where he worked.
In Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) motel room, Sarah confronted him about stealing The Spectator from Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Cady McClain).
Sarah demanded to know how Xander and Gwen pulled it off, but Xander would only admit to blackmail – not to the actual material.
After Sarah said Xander made her sick, she got physically ill and ran to the bathroom to throw up.
Later, Sarah was still looking unwell at the hospital, so a nurse encouraged her to have some tests done.
When Rex caught up with Sarah in an exam room, she looked bewildered and confessed she was pregnant.
When Gwen met up with Xander, he offered updates on Sarah’s outraged visit.
Gwen could tell Xander was still in love with Sarah, so he admitted things were complicated and acted like he couldn’t really think about his future until the divorce was finalized.
Gwen pretended that was fine and suggested keeping things professional as partners on the paper in the meantime.
However, Gwen looked distraught once she was on the other side of Xander’s door.
Afterward, Gwen brought Leo up to speed and acted like Xander’s divorce couldn’t be finalized fast enough.
At the pub on Thursday’s DOOL show, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) met up with Sonny and learned he was joining Will Horton (Chandler Massey), Allie and Henry Horton (Clyde and Nash Gunderson) in New Zealand.
Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth), Alex and Stephanie eventually showed up to say their goodbyes along with Chad. Sonny offered up some hugs, kind words and reassurance that he’d be back.
When Alex found Maggie at the Kiriakis mansion on Thursday’s Days episode, she said Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) was out of town and added that he asked her to handle the Titan CEO situation.
Alex assumed there was news about him being Sonny’s replacement, but Maggie informed him that Victor had chosen a different Kiriakis.
Back with Xander on Thursday’s Days episode, he got a visit from Justin and expected paperwork regarding the end of his marriage.
Justin insisted there was a problem with the divorce, so he couldn’t hand over anything about finalizing it.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Xander will soon have a glimmer of hope, so stay tuned to DOOL.
