Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Tyler Christopher (ex-Stefan DiMera) was recently arrested at an airport in Southern California after reportedly having too much to drink. TMZ’s sources insist that drunk Christopher was asleep on the ground near the American Airlines terminal, so Burbank cops were summoned to handle the incident.
Those sources also claim Christopher was noticeably intoxicated based on the signs that officers observed, so the situation was enough to bring the former Days star’s arrest for public intoxication.
After getting handcuffed and booked, Christopher was later cited and given a court date based on TMZ’s latest report.
The ex-DOOL actor was also arrested over an alcohol-related incident back in 2019, so it’s especially sad to hear that Christopher’s recovery isn’t going as well as fans might’ve hoped.
While Tyler Christopher is best known for his work as Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital, he also earned the support of many Days viewers during his run as Stefan DiMera from 2017-2019.
Unfortunately, there were some behind-the-scenes issues that led to Christopher’s DOOL departure. Inside buzz pointed to alcohol problems being the reason for Christopher’s exit at the time.
Christopher was replaced by fellow GH alum Brandon Barash, who has certainly made the role of Stefan his own. Even so, Christopher did some great work during his stint and will always be remembered as the original Stefan O. DiMera.
Plenty of fans have been holding onto hope that Christopher might return to the soap world someday. Never say never, but it’s clear that Christopher has some alcohol-fueled inner demons that need to be conquered before that can happen.
Of course, the most important thing is for Christopher to focus on his recovery for his own health and well-being, so we’re all hoping better days are ahead.
