Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, January 11, reveals that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) pointed Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) in the direction of Jakarta, so Rafe had his contacts start looking into finding the orchid at Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) lab.
At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) informed EJ DiMera (Dan Fuerriegel) that she’d be staying there now that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) had kicked her out.
EJ wasn’t interested in having Kristen’s drama under his roof, but she threatened to tell Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) that EJ knew about the brainwashing procedure and kept quiet.
Although EJ relented and allowed Kristen to stay, he hoped for her sake as well as Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) sake that the orchid was found.
Rafe also stopped by to grill Kristen and EJ about the orchid as well as send the forensics team to search the secret room for evidence.
The commissioner noted that he’d also need the security tapes and taunted Kristen about hopefully arresting her once Dr. Rolf flipped on her.
Meanwhile, Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) pushed Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) to try getting through to Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) for him, so she agreed even though she thought it was a lost cause.
Since Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) had already spilled about Wendy’s knowledge of the brainwashing, Gabi fumed at her when she arrived at the Hernandez house.
Wendy ultimately got the door slammed in her face after Gabi insisted she wouldn’t be taking Li back.
Next, Johnny bickered with Li, who seemed irritated that Johnny didn’t rat out EJ and mocked them for DiMera loyalty.
Johnny hoped Gabi would make it crystal clear that she wouldn’t get back together with Li – and later, Wendy felt Li should face the facts since he’d lost Gabi forever.
Back at the Hernandez house on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, Stefan told Gabi that he was sorry for her suffering, but he no longer felt love or attraction for her.
Gabi insisted that was because of Dr. Rolf’s procedure and didn’t know what would happen if they got it undone.
Regardless, Gabi thought Stefan should get his freewill back, so she eventually convinced him to get deprogrammed.
Unfortunately, Rafe had bad news once Stefan and Gabi came to the police station.
When Rolf’s lab was raided in Jakarta, the cops learned the doc had disappeared without a trace.
In the town square on Wednesday’s Days show, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) offered condolences to Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) over Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and got updates on Marlena being in the ICU.
Although Nicole tried to provide comfort, things went downhill after Eric explained the orchid story and his kidnapping fiasco.
Nicole couldn’t believe Eric left Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) with his “shady hookup buddy,” Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty).
Eric wondered if the real problem was that Nicole was jealous, but she denied it.
After Eric took jabs about Nicole shacking up with EJ and talking Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) into aborting his baby, Nicole left in a huff.
In Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) suite, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) revealed the whole orchid mess and how he had no choice but to do what Kristen said.
Chloe had compassion, but she still wished Brady would’ve trusted her with the truth – especially before she slept with Stefan.
On Wednesday’s Days episode, Chloe admitted to having real feelings for Stefan and couldn’t just turn them off.
Chloe pulled her hand away from Brady and couldn’t make the choice to reunite with him right now.
Brady assured Chloe that he’d wait as long as it took and told her that he loved her before he exited.
