Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, January 18, reveals that Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) pushed Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) to apologize to Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) in the town square. Stefan simply said he was sorry that Gabi was a cold, bottom-feeding snake who only cared about herself.
Li punched Stefan, who guessed they were even since he decked Li earlier.
After Stefan ranted about the brainwashing, he suggested Li didn’t even need to do it since he probably would’ve ended up hating Gabi on his own.
Stefan said Li and Gabi deserved each other before stomping off.
Once Gabi explained how she wanted to ask dying Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) for help, Li defended her actions.
Gabi eventually seemed to take pity on Li and went to get him some ice for his hand, but then she dumped the bucket on his head.
That left Li pleased to see that Gabi’s passion wasn’t gone since she went to the trouble of tricking him.
At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) confronted Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) about blackmailing Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) into dumping her and threatening the people he loved.
Chloe also brought up Stefan’s brainwashing and withholding the life-saving orchid, but Kristen played dumb about all of it.
That set Chloe off, so she grabbed a fireplace poker and pointed it at Kristen.
When Kristen laughed and asked if Chloe was going to kill her, Chloe warned that she just might!
Fortunately, Stefan showed up and convinced Chloe this wasn’t the right way to handle things – though he later told Chloe it was “badass.”
Chloe got updates on Stefan hitting a dead end with deprogramming, but he felt relieved and now hated Gabi because of her actions, not what Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) did.
Chloe talked about Brady wanting her back, but she admitted she had developed real feelings for Stefan.
After Stefan acknowledged his own real feelings, he assured Chloe that she was the only one he wanted.
At the Salem PD on Wednesday’s Days episode, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) played Kristen’s recorded confession for Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu).
Rafe pointed out they couldn’t use it since it constituted illegal search, but Jada thought she had a loophole.
In a waiting area at the hospital, Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) comforted each other over Marlena.
Johnny was eventually summoned to the police station, so he went down and heard Kristen’s recorded confession.
Since Johnny was the person Kristen confessed to, the cops needed a sworn statement from Johnny to back it up.
That would be enough to secure an arrest warrant for Kristen, so Johnny got on board and agreed to help Steve get justice for Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans).
Afterward on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, Rafe and Jada showed up at the DiMera mansion looking for Kristen, but Stefan admitted she wasn’t there.
Once Kristen picked Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) up from school instead of her friend’s mom as planned, they got hot cocoa and sat on a bench.
Kristen lied about it being Chloe’s fault that they weren’t a family with Brady, but she assured Rachel that they could still be together – just the two of them.
However, Kristen explained that they had to leave Salem for that to happen and suggested they blow this hot cocoa stand.
In the hospital chapel, Brady blamed himself for Marlena’s grim situation as well as Kayla and Kate Roberts Brady’s (Lauren Koslow) deaths.
John Black (Drake Hogestyn) assured Brady he wasn’t responsible as they supported each other and prayed for Marlena’s recovery.
Suddenly, Allie came bursting in the chapel with urgent news on Wednesday’s Days episode.
After Allie warned that both John and Brady had to come right now, she insisted it was about Grandma Marlena.
