Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the week of August 14-18 reveal that Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) plane crash will plunge many Salemites into a difficult mourning period. Once Victor’s grim fate is revealed, it’ll take a toll on several key players.
That includes Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), who’ll blame himself for Victor’s demise since his grandfather was visiting Bo Brady’s (Peter Reckell) facility.
Since Shawn already feels responsible for Bo’s coma, he’ll feel responsible for Victor’s trip to see him ending in catastrophe, too.
Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) will also struggle with guilt over not making amends with Victor while he still could.
The frustration may add to Xander’s anger as he faces off with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) over their mutual interest in Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin).
It looks like Chloe will deal with some second thoughts about the kind of person Xander is and whether this relationship can really work long-term.
Other Days spoilers say Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) will get a big surprise, which should involve Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) showing up in Salem for Victor’s funeral.
Philip may admit he’s finished his treatment in Europe, but Kate may worry about the potential for a mental health setback due to Victor’s sudden passing.
Next, Days spoilers say Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) and Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) will get into a heated argument over whether they should move forward with a romance or stop trying to make this work.
Of course, there’s obviously a spark between Melinda and Li that they can’t deny, so this argument could lead to some passion erupting.
In the meantime, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) will resume his mayoral duties, but there’ll be some major snags along the way. Since Abe can’t remember his past in Salem, that’ll lead to more problems.
After Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) makes a pitch for a reunion, it could leave Chanel feeling conflicted.
Part of Chanel will always care about Johnny, but she also feels something for Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian) that she might want to truly explore.
Back with Melinda, she’ll find herself under extreme pressure thanks to Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash).
Stefan might figure out that Melinda’s keeping a secret that affects EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and push her to divulge what it is.
Melinda swore to Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) that she’d keep the paternity truth regarding Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) baby under wraps, but Days spoilers say Stefan could make that difficult.
On Dimitri von Leuschner’s (Peter Porte) honeymoon, nothing will go how he expected!
Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) is oblivious to the fact that Dimitri married her for the inheritance money and is sleeping with her best friend on the side, so she may get in the way of her husband’s plans.
Dimitri had the nerve to buy Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) a first-class plane ticket to Iceland and even put him in the same hotel.
When Gwen discovers Leo and Dimitri together on this honeymoon, it’ll be Dimitri’s fault for inviting Leo and being so careless.
While Dimitri presumably tries to talk his way out of trouble again, Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) will realize Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) has a secret.
Gabi will try to nail down exactly what that secret is and hope that she can perhaps use it to her advantage soon enough.
Whether that involves Rachel’s knowledge of Dimitri’s “sleepover” with Leo or another secret that Rachel uncovers, Gabi will launch an investigation and fish for any news she can find out.
The week of August 14-18 will wind down with a look back at some of Susanne Rogers’ best moments as Maggie Kiriakis, so stay tuned for updates on her 50th DOOL anniversary episode.
