Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) recently revealed some good news about Lani Price-Grant’s (Sal Stowers) future. In the June 19 episode, Eli mentioned that Lani was eligible for parole in six months and said they were hoping to have her home by Christmas.
Of course, that’s left many Days fans wondering: Will Lani Price-Grant return to Salem?
It’s a possibility to consider now that Eli’s offered updates on Lani’s release from prison, which should happen just in time for the holidays.
Eli also brought up the fact that Lani couldn’t be a cop again, so that brings questions about what kind of job she might have if she comes back.
Naturally, it’s possible Lani will find a new position in Washington, D.C. since that’s where Eli’s been working while she’s in a Maryland prison.
Lani may even choose to just spend some quality time with the twins for a while, at least until she decides what she wants her next chapter to look like.
In other words, Lani and Eli might continue to live outside of Salem – meaning they would only come home for visits.
That’d be better than nothing, but many DOOL viewers would love to see both Eli and Lani back on Days full-time.
If Lani does end up coming home permanently someday, she’d be an excellent fit for Black Patch.
That would still allow Lani to put her detective skills to good use as a private investigator.
Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) would certainly love to have Lani on their team.
If Lani embraces a role at Black Patch, she might carve out a new yet similar career path that works for her.
Then again, Days writers might take Lani in a completely different direction, especially since Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) is such a similar character.
Eli talked about how Lani had been mentoring other prisoners and doing great things behind bars.
Maybe Lani will want to keep serving as a mentor through community outreach programs or other benevolent organizations.
Regardless, plenty of fans miss Lani and would like to see her again in some form.
Whether Sal Stowers returns or the role gets recast, let’s hope Lani Price-Grant comes home to Salem at some point.
