Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for the week of January 1-5 reveals that Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) attempt to take the fall for Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) won’t go as well as he hoped.
Although Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) will support the idea of Brady taking the blame for the pills Tate gets caught with, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will suspect he’s covering for his son.
Of course, that’s exactly what Brady will be doing, so Tate will refuse to let his dad land behind bars.
Tate will push for his own arrest instead, so EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) will make things as tough on him as possible.
Since EJ will hold Tate responsible for Holly Jonas’ (Ashley Puzemis) overdose and the coma she’ll eventually end up in, he’ll revoke Tate’s bail.
To make matters worse, EJ will eventually announce that he’s trying Tate as an adult!
That’ll nearly result in Brady and EJ’s physical confrontation.
Theresa will burst into tears over Tate’s worsening predicament, but only Holly can make this right by waking up and revealing the truth.
Unfortunately, Days spoilers say Holly’s doctors will be iffy on whether Holly’s going to awaken at all.
Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) will face Harris Michaels’ (Steve Burton) difficult questions before Clyde Weston (James Read) hands down a risky new order.
Later, Stefan will get into an argument with EJ, so Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) will come along and overhear more than the DiMera brothers would prefer!
As for Paulina Price (Jackée Harry), she’ll get an “I’m sorry” from Abe Carver (James Reynolds) after he’s forced to pump the brakes in the bedroom.
Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) will have a much easier time with their own sizzling between the sheets, so look for their relationship to deepen quickly.
Other Days spoilers say Nicole will pray for a miracle at Holly’s bedside while Tate worries about doing hard time at Statesville.
Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) will also put Ava through a grilling session regarding the drug drama he’s heard about.
Between that and Holly’s condition, Tripp will have some good reasons to stay in Salem.
Perhaps Tripp will decide he can’t leave Ava in crisis – nor can he walk away from Holly if she ends up being his patient.
Regardless, Days spoilers indicate Tripp will have some bad news for Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) while she’s packing for Hong Kong.
It sounds like Tripp will back out of his offer to move there with Wendy, so she’ll have to decide what that means for her own future.
Over with Sloan Petersen-Brady (Jessica Serfaty), she’ll do her best to put a stop to Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) out-of-control spending habits.
Across town, DOOL spoilers say Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) will push Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) to move in with him so that they can both be parents to Victoria Horton-Cook without all the constant handoffs.
As a bonus, Xander will suggest they can be close to each other, too.
It looks like Sarah will ultimately accept the move-in offer and take the next steps toward a real romantic reunion with Xander.
