Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers preview video for the week of January 9-13 teases that some painful episodes are coming up as Orpheus’ (George DelHoyo) victims continue to decline rapidly. Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) is gone after a quick relapse left Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) unable to save her, so he’ll have to deliver a difficult blow to Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo).
Since Lucas is behind bars at the moment, he’ll get updates over the phone.
Rex’s call about Kate’s demise will leave Lucas devastated and furious with Orpheus, who happens to be a fellow inmate at Statesville.
While Lucas launches a physical attack on enemy number one, Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) will sit by dead Kate’s bedside and sob over how he’ll miss her forever.
Days spoilers say Roman will give Kate a final embrace and try to figure out how he’s going to live without her.
In Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) hospital room, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) will beg her to hang on and hope Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) makes it over there soon.
Unfortunately, Stephanie will miss her opportunity to say some parting words to Kayla – and it’ll be all Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) fault since he’ll prevent her from seeing Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) repeated calls and texts.
That’ll make the pain even worse once Stephanie finds out about Alex’s awful error.
Days spoilers say Stephanie will mourn the loss of Kayla and lean on Chad as she struggles to cope.
Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Will Horton (Chandler Massey) can also be seen giving each other a comforting hug in DOOL’s weekly promo.
After losing Grandma Kate, Will and Allie will have to worry about losing Grandma Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) next.
Marlena will have a heartbreaking outburst in John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) arms as she realizes she’ll face the same terrible fate soon enough.
Tragedy will continue to strike, but Days spoilers say there’ll be some light at the end of this tunnel.
Death is rarely permanent on DOOL, so good news is looming for Kate, Kayla, Marlena and their families.
