General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, April 28, reveals that Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) worried about Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) since she’d been hauled in for questioning about insider trading.
Although Willow worried Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) might also face charges, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had been in touch with Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) and downplayed the idea.
As of right now, the SEC was operating under the assumption that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) had been left out of the loop.
Sonny ultimately headed for the PCPD to see what he could do to help.
Next on Friday’s GH episode, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) expressed how sorry he was that this was happening, especially on Michael and Willow’s wedding day.
Michael fired back about Ned getting what he wanted and accused him of following through on the threat he made last fall.
Ned insisted that if Michael thought he’d send Carly to prison for insider trading while Willow was dying, then Michael didn’t know him at all.
Michael thought he indeed didn’t know Ned and continued to believe he was guilty.
After Michael ranted about Ned wanting power, he recalled how Ned previously sold his own daughter out.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) shut down the confrontation, but then she followed Ned and seemed suspicious of him.
Once Brook Lynn acted like this would be a typical move for Ned, she stomped off.
At the PCPD, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) couldn’t get Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) to pick up his phone.
The commissioner also learned Laura Collins (Genie Francis) was taking personal time off and grew concerned.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) tried to talk to Jordan briefly about Carly, but Jordan clearly had more important things to do and headed for the hospital.
In the interrogation room, the men from the SEC said they had reason to believe Carly colluded with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to raise the stock price of Aurora Media – and that could send them both to prison.
A picture was presented of Carly hugging Drew as evidence of their connection, but Diane argued that they were family members consoling each other over Willow’s leukemia battle.
The SEC agents pushed for Carly’s cooperation and said it’d go better for her if she helped them find Drew, but Carly didn’t offer any details.
After Sonny called in a favor, Carly learned that Drew had supposedly chartered a plane from San Diego to Maui and was told she was free to go for now – though charges could be pending.
Carly realized Sonny had arranged for the SEC to go on a wild goose chase, which would give Drew a chance to keep searching for Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and the others.
Once Carly filled Michael in on Sonny’s good deed over the phone, she learned from Diane that her accounts had been frozen along with Aurora Media’s.
Michael told Willow about how Sonny came through for Carly and Drew, but Willow pointed out that Sonny stepped up for Michael as well.
At the warehouse ahead of the Pikeman meeting, Brick (Stephen A. Smith) came home early from a trip and nearly caught Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) red-handed.
Fortunately, Dex was able to pocket the device in his hand.
That device turned out to be a small camera, so Dex set it up in a moment alone later.
Fans saw that it was recording, which meant Dex could get video evidence against Sonny at this meeting.
Once the meeting kicked off, Sonny showed up late and was ready to get things started.
At GH, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) commiserated with Portia Robinson (Tabyana Ali) over their loved ones being in danger.
Since Scott wanted more info, Portia thought he should talk to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
In Anna’s room, Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) paid her a visit since she’d called in a favor.
That led to Andre offering up a dossier that he’d gained access to with all the Cassadine details from back in 1981.
Jordan joined Anna, Andre and Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) to question them since she assumed a half-baked scheme was in motion.
Anna did her best to sell Jordan on why Laura, Curtis, Drew and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) had to handle this.
Based on Holly’s findings in the dossier, she realized a pathogen was never recovered – one that could wipe out 80 percent of the population if it was unleashed.
Andre and Anna also realized the WSB would likely destroy the island if they found out about this since they’d deem the handful of hostages expendable.
Jordan agreed to run interference for as long as she could, which would hopefully give Laura and the others a chance to save the captives before the WSB was alerted.
As Scott eavesdropped on the news, Jordan talked about the importance of keeping this under wraps since people would panic if they knew Victor had a biological weapon.
In Greenland, Curtis warned Valentin that this wasn’t the time for personal vendettas, so their mission was about saving the hostages rather than taking Victor down.
Valentin had a satellite phone and was able to determine that The Haunted Star was nearby as expected.
In a moment alone with Curtis, Laura talked about Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) curse on the ship, but Curtis insisted they’d break it if there was one.
When a couple of Victor’s henchmen appeared, Valentin hid with the others and accidentally dropped the satellite phone.
It looked like Laura, Drew, Valentin and Curtis might get by without being detected, but then Valentin’s dropped phone started ringing thanks to Holly.
General Hospital spoilers say Valentin could land in a tight spot soon, so stay tuned for updates on the trouble that’s looming!
