General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, July 14, reveals that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) scolded Mac Scorpio (John J. York) for scaring her and admitted she was spying on Selina Wu (Lydia Look). That led to a conversation about the PCPD’s surveillance of The Savoy and their knowledge of the poker games.
Mac worried that Selina had dragged Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) into trouble that he couldn’t get him out of.
Sam realized that was partly why Mac hadn’t led the charge to take Selina down yet – though he also admitted they needed more than a casino racket to do it.
After Sam pointed out that Selina seemingly got Cody’s recent charges dropped, Mac struggled to understand why she’d help him.
Sam expressed concern about the road Cody was headed down and said it might be too late to save him from himself.
Meanwhile, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) warned Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) wanted to do something she was entirely not prepared for.
Although Alexis assured Sonny that Kristina wasn’t in any danger, she felt the details had to come from Kristina herself.
Since Alexis was in a good place with Kristina these days, she pushed Sonny to get her to open up and be the bad guy. Alexis felt that Kristina would listen to Sonny if he talked some sense into her.
In the hospital waiting area, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) confirmed that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) made it through his surgery.
Curtis’ doctor revealed that although they were able to remove the bullet, it left significant damage.
Although Curtis wasn’t awake yet, his family waited outside the ICU and were allowed to go in one at a time.
Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) urged Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) to go first, but she got freaked out by all the equipment and the sight of unconscious Curtis on a ventilator.
After Trina ran out of Curtis’ room in despair, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) assured her that she had a perfectly normal reaction.
While Trina was off splashing water on her face, Stella seemed a bit dizzy and weak.
Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) pushed Stella to get checked out since they were already at the hospital, but she turned her attention back to Trina when she returned.
Over with Kristina, she tried to tell TJ and Molly Lansing-Davis (currently played by Holiday Mia Kriegel) how relieved she was over the Curtis updates.
TJ snapped at Kristina since Curtis still wasn’t out of the woods and stomped off.
Kristina was baffled over TJ’s outburst and faced another one from Molly, so she pushed her sister for answers.
After Molly said not everything was about Kristina, she admitted she overheard the surrogacy suggestion at The Savoy.
Molly felt that Kristina was offering to give TJ the baby that she couldn’t give him. According to Molly, it would mean making the whole pregnancy about Kristina.
That left Kristina offended since she was willing to make a big sacrifice for Molly, who was accusing her of being selfish.
TJ interrupted their argument to push them to quiet down, but Kristina ranted about how she was just the dumb, narcissistic sister and said that of course Molly didn’t want her help.
When Alexis showed up at GH, she realized the tension had erupted and seemed concerned when Kristina blew past her.
Back in Curtis’ ICU room, Portia felt helpless and regretted the time they’d spent apart after his kiss with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).
It left Portia pleading for a chance to tell Curtis how much she loved him, so she pushed him to open his eyes.
At Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattson) place, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) said she looked tired and urged her to take her medication.
Cody arrived while Sasha was out of the room, so Gladys said he was the last thing they needed right now and slammed the door in his face.
After Cody came in anyway, he let Sasha know that he was sorry he missed her call. Gladys acted like Cody couldn’t be bothered to help, but he pointed out that Gladys was missing when Sasha needed her, too.
Sasha explained all the shoplifting confusion to Cody, who made it clear that they were friends despite what he said before.
If Sasha was in trouble, Cody wanted her to know she could always call him.
Once Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) got in touch with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), Nina visited Sasha’s place as well.
Sasha’s meds were kicking in by then, so her behavior seemed off as she urged Gladys to give Nina the full scoop.
After filling Nina in on the shoplifting drama, Gladys privately expressed concern about Sasha losing touch with reality again.
Sasha rejoined the conversation and was relieved this didn’t turn into a big public scandal, but she was still acting over the top.
In the hallway, Gladys spoke to Nina about whether the guardianship made her obligated to tell the court about Sasha’s incident. Nina warned Gladys not to say anything since it was all cleared up and would only create more problems if she spilled.
After Gladys got a delivery of all her expensive boutique items, she warned Sasha about how Cody couldn’t be trusted.
At Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) house, she stepped outside and found Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) with a masked man he’d cornered on her property.
Dante recognized the guy as someone who worked for Sonny, so Anna realized he’d sent someone over to protect her.
Once talk turned to the rifle found in the room at the Metro Court, Dante said it was part of an illegal arms ring. It had been confiscated by the WSB and should’ve been locked up with the rest in Berlin.
Anna thought she was the target rather than Sonny, but she also acknowledged that some factors worked against the WSB angle – like the fact that the mission wasn’t a success.
Once Anna summoned Sonny, she scolded him for sending the guard when she didn’t ask for his help.
Sonny was just sorry the guy got caught and made it clear that the next guard would do a better job of avoiding detection.
Anna felt that if the WSB wanted to take her out, they could do it easily. The sloppy situation at a public pool didn’t line up with that.
However, Anna knew the name of every person her actions had compromised over the years. Narrowing down the list would take too long, so Anna proposed using herself as bait to lure the culprit out of hiding.
General Hospital spoilers say Anna’s idea will lead to some curveballs, so stay tuned for more news on the chaos!
