General Hospital Recap: Friday, June 16 – Nina Makes Sasha Cry – Spinelli’s Secret Mission – Chase Wants Kids

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, June 16, reveals that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) played backgammon with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) in the GH breakroom as they acknowledged their friendship. Once Finn hinted about the tide turning in the game, it seemed like it could apply to his relationship with Liz, too.

Meanwhile, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) got Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) advice about a tough case and could tell she missed being a lawyer.

Alexis finally confessed that she indeed missed it like losing a limb and wished she felt more fulfilled at The Invader.

Diane talked to Alexis about her decision to hire Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) and got updates on Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) joining the editorial board as well.

At the Quartermaine stables, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) convinced Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) to come over and help him with a plan to expose Gladys Corbin’s (Bonnie Burroughs) frame-up.

Sam wanted to focus on keeping Cody out of jail, but he pointed out there was no surveillance footage to clear him.

After Sam hinted about other ways of doing things, she called Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and revealed that she had a job for him.

At GH, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) could tell Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) had been crying when she showed up for a visit.

Sasha admitted they were happy tears since she just read the letter of recommendation Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) wrote to support ending her guardianship.

After Sasha opened up about Nina forgiving her for posing as her fake daughter, she also admitted she put Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) through hell with her addiction.

Even recently, Sasha had wrongfully accused Cody, so she knew how painful it was to want to reconnect with someone you’ve wronged – even when they didn’t owe you a thing.

Once Sasha read a portion of Nina’s touching letter, she talked about Nina’s massive capacity for forgiveness and said it might be hereditary.

Sasha understood that Nina had done real harm to Willow and people she cared about, but she didn’t think their story had to end there.

Willow said she always told Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) that new beginnings were possible. Sasha wound up flashing back to a conversation with Cody, who hoped she could eventually see the truth about Gladys.

Next, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) caught up with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), who hated the fact that Willow was stuck at the hospital missing moments with little Amelia Corinthos (Bo Harrison) that she couldn’t get back.

Chase insisted Michael was making videos that Willow would cherish forever and urged him to focus on the future, so Michael agreed he was right.

Michael quizzed Chase about whether he ever wanted children of his own, so Chase said he definitely loved kids and acknowledged that he had reunited with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).

That said, Chase thought having children was a long way off in the future.

Michael noted that the future has a habit of catching up with you sooner than expected and was glad Chase was back together with Brook Lynn.

Although Brook Lynn could be her own worst enemy at times, Michael felt that Chase complimented her and was like her moral compass.

In Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) room, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) removed his IV sedation so that he could come out of his twilight sleep.

Brook Lynn, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) all waited on Ned to regain consciousness – though Tracy was certainly the most impatient.

Ned finally opened his eyes and pushed for water before mentioning that his head hurt.

After Ned asked if he fell, Tracy confirmed that he did at the Metro Court pool and questioned what had him all fired up.

Ned looked confused, so TJ asked him if he knew the year and what city he was in. Once Ned replied that it was 2023 and that he was in Port Charles, TJ thought he was on the road to recovery.

However, things took a shocking turn after Ned’s loved ones started calling him by name. He insisted he wasn’t Ned and claimed he was Eddie Maine!

General Hospital spoilers say “Eddie” will cause some chaos for the Quartermaine clan, so stick with us for more news on Ned’s condition.
