General Hospital Recap: Friday, May 5 – Snow Falls in PC Due to Weather Machine – Nina Promises No More Carly Vendetta

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, May 5, reveals that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) warned Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) not to shoot since she could hit Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), but Liesl didn’t care and pushed her to fire the shot anyway.

Victor held up the container full of the pathogen vials and insisted that if anything happened to him, they’d all die.

Although Victor thought Holly should drop her weapon and focus on finding Ethan Lovett (James Ryan), Holly informed him that she’d already rescued her son.

Holly also dropped hints until Victor realized she was responsible for his condition in the bedroom, so she gloated about him not being able to try for more Cassadine heirs.

Victor wanted to shoot Holly for revenge, but Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) knocked him out before he could.

Unfortunately, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) also lost consciousness when she fell and took a blow to the head.

The good news was Liesl eventually woke up and seemed fine.

The bad news was the distraction gave Victor a chance to awaken and sneak back to The Haunted Star with the pathogen.

In the bunker, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) assumed he was hallucinating Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), but she insisted she was real.

Although Valentin expected to die, he thought that was OK since Anna had redeemed him.

Anna refused to let Valentin die alone in the isolation room, so she joined him and risked getting infected with the pathogen herself.

Fortunately, Holly heard about Valentin needing the antidote, which Liesl had stolen when Victor wasn’t looking.

Soon after, Holly showed up with an antidote vial as she greeted Anna and Valentin in the isolation room.

When Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) spoke to Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) over the phone, she convinced them to take Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) and head for the seaplane immediately since bombs were about to drop on the island.

Trina asked Jordan to tell her mom and dad that she loved them, so Jordan relayed the message to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) along with positive updates on Trina hopefully getting off the island soon.

Portia, Jordan and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) also noticed that it was snowing outside, so they thought that was bizarre considering it was so warm outside earlier.

Back in the bunker, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) realized Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos) had a backup weather machine – just like the one from 40 years ago.

Laura saw that the target was still set for Port Charles, so a blizzard was going to be unleashed unless they did something to stop it.

Luckily, Laura still had the carbonic snow formula seared into her brain and entered it into the computer to shut down the whole operation.

Outside, Spencer and Trina ducked out of sight with Ace as Victor raced back to The Haunted Star carrying the pathogen container.

Although Trina didn’t want to let Spencer go alone, he convinced her to take Ace while he dashed off to stop Victor’s reign of terror.

When Victor spoke to a henchman on The Haunted Star, he wanted his nephews located – though the ship would leave with or without Victor’s family.

Victor then looked inside the container and fumed when he realized Liesl had stolen the antidote.

Once Spencer appeared, he warned Victor to give him the pathogen so that both of them could walk out of there alive.

Victor argued that Spencer would have to pry it from his cold, dead fingers instead.

Spencer shoved Victor’s head into the nearby bar and knocked him out.

After Spencer checked Victor’s pulse, he was glad he didn’t kill his great-uncle – though he wasn’t sure if that was a good thing.

Right as Spencer was about to flee with the pathogen container, he heard the drone strike preparation happening over the ship.

After the WSB received word about Victor being back on The Haunted Star, that became the new bomb target instead of the island.

Laura and Curtis told Trina once they met up with her as she held Ace in her arms.

Trina became alarmed since Spencer was on The Haunted Star with Victor and needed to be warned.

Suddenly, the ship exploded due to the redirected drone strike.

Laura and Trina looked horrified over the bomb followed by the flames since they assumed Spencer was still inside.

At GH, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) asked to see Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), so Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) sent Nina to Willow’s room.

Willow had one request for Nina and asked if she would leave Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) alone.

After Willow acknowledged that Carly and Nina would never be friends, she hoped they could at least try to make peace.

After Willow suggested Nina could keep her distance and stop keeping score, she asked Nina to promise she’d drop her vendetta whether she survived or not.

Nina vowed not to get into it with Carly anymore and teared up as she said she’d try to be a better person.

Later, Carly got a phone call from Drew, who put Liesl on the phone as well to confirm that she was coming home for the bone marrow transplant.

Willow, Michael and Carly were all thrilled over this positive development.

General Hospital spoilers say Willow will have to keep fighting for survival in the meantime, so stay tuned.
