General Hospital Recap: Friday, September 22 – Drew Rushed Unconscious to GH After Cyrus’ Rescue – Andrea Pregnant

General Hospital (GH) spoilers’ recap for Friday, September 22 reveals some interesting developments in the land of Port Charles. Time to talk about the drama, that went down on GH before the weekend hits!

ABC’s General Hospital opens with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) entering the hospital. He finds Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) before his appointment as he needs to talk to her about something. Of course, he spills the beans about Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) trip to Manhattan with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez).

Portia is not aware of it and tries to act cool, but fans can tell she’s rather upset. She admits that she’s not happy about her daughter’s decision but as she’s an adult, there’s not much she can do.

As Curtis heads to his appointment, Portia runs into Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) with Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) as the little one has a routine pediatrician appointment. Esme thanks Portia for all her help, especially for recommending those parenting classes she and Spencer took, they helped a lot.

Esme also thanked the good doctor for befriending her, all considering the past she had with Trina, but Portia notes that Esme is a changed person. If she needs anything, she can reach out at any time.

Meanwhile, GH fans got treated to some fun Sprina scenes during the Friday, September 22 General Hospital episode. Trina’s working away on an essay in her dorm when Spencer starts pounding at her door.

Spencer’s way too excited about their NYC trip; however, Trina makes it clear that she has to finish her essay before she even thinks about packing.

The two flirtatiously banter back and forth, with some kissing in between, as Spencer talks about going to the theatre and how he’s organized taking them to the newest “hot spot” in the Big Apple.

After much pleading by Spencer to head out now and forget about her essay (which is due Tuesday and she can finish off when they get back), Trina shoves him out of her dorm room and tells him she’ll call him when she’s done.

Over at the other side of the hospital, TJ Ashford (Bejh Bellow) runs into his mom Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) after a visit she has with a friend. He talks about shadowing a big hospital surgeon, and she tells him how proud she is, but points out how much things will change if and when he has a baby.

The conversation shifts to his and Molly Lansing-Davis’s (Brooke Anne Smith) surrogacy plans, and he talks about how nervous he is to be a dad. Jordan assures him that while kids don’t come with a manual, he and Molly will do an incredible job as parents.

Speaking of Molly, her mom Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) drops by the courthouse just to see her and catch up. During their conversation, Molly gets a call from Andrea Gates (Lily Anne Harrison) saying she has something important to tell her and wants to see her in person.

While Alexis has a meeting with Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) she cancels with him, as Molly is nervous that it’s bad news.

Turns out, Andrea arrives at the courthouse and tells her some amazing news – that she’s pregnant! She does state that she’ll need to book a doctor’s appointment to confirm, but the home pregnancy test she took was a “positive”.

The ladies go to celebrate after Molly gives Alexis the “okay” to tell her sisters. Alexis calls Gregory back to tell him they can now meet, but she’s in too good a mood to work, so they’ll have to find something fun to scratch off his bucket list.

Across town, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) has a massive fan-girl moment when Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) enters Charlie’s, and she swoons about how much she loves her music and watching her perform.

Blaze has a meeting there; however, the person she’s set to see has not shown up yet, so she heads to the bar.

The ladies get to talking and Blaze chats about needing new representation, but it she wants it to be someone she trusts. She had quite the ordeal with Linc Brown (Dan Buran), but she’s better and moving forward to take control of her career.

Kristina notes she’s not sure how Blaze does it, performing in front of so many people; Kristina could barely keep it together during some of the Nurse’s Ball performances she’s done with her sisters in the past.

Kristina needs to take a call, so Blaze is left for a bit on her own. When she comes back, Blaze is glued to her phone, watching one of Kristina’s old Nurse’s Ball routines on YouTube.

Kristina’s slightly embarrassed, but Blaze thinks she did a great job. The ladies smile at each other. Could a romance between these two be on the horizon?

At the prison, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) heads into the communal shower alone, takes his clothes off, and starts the water. Shortly after the fact, two thugs come in and jump him from behind. While he tries to fight back, as there are two of them, he’s unable to get away.

The thugs beat him senseless, leaving him on the floor of the shower, as blood pours out of his mouth, into the drain.

After they leave, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) suspiciously enters the shower area, finds Drew on the floor, checks his pulse, and desperately calls out to the guards for help.

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) pick up their conversation from the day before at Kelly’s, entering Carly’s home. Of course, they couldn’t talk about it at the diner; Diane has very confidential information. She relays the information that Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) gave her about Drew’s judge looking to get promoted.

Diane explains that this promotion is a stepping-stone to the Supreme Court, and as such, the judge will need to have an impeccable judicial record. GH spoilers say he may want to impress the feds.

Diane shares her theory that the judge may have given Drew a harsh sentence in hopes that he’d appeal, and they could present Carly with a deal to hand over information on her ex, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to the feds to nail him.

Ultimately, Carly says she still wouldn’t throw Sonny under the bus to help Drew, and mainly it’s because of the kids. She states that if Sonny’s locked away that places her children at risk, with no one to protect them.

Carly doesn’t regret her relationship with Drew, just what her life has done to him. Still, Diane is going to look to see if there are any cases where a judge was influenced by political gain and what the precedence is.

Carly feels that at the very least, they do now have some hope, but Diane reminds her that they’ll have to get proof, too.

The show closes with Diane getting “terrible” news during a call she takes. Carly asks what’s wrong, and Diane lets her know that Drew’s been attacked in prison and is headed to General Hospital hospital.
