General Hospital Recap: Monday, April 3 – Dante Rescues Sam from Red Carpet Crisis - Victor Ready for Revenge

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, April 3, reveals that Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) wore a fancy gown as she watched the Nurses Ball coverage and pestered Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) with phone calls. Maxie finally made it clear that they’d talk when the whole thing was over and hung up.

At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) snuggled on the sofa with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to watch the Nurses Ball on TV, but Michael assured her that they’d be walking the red carpet together next year.

When Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) stopped by, he let Willow and Michael know they’d be missed at the party tonight.

Willow seemed touched over the gesture before Drew headed off to join the Nurses Ball festivities.

On the red carpet again, Sydney Val Jean (Chandra Wilson) interviewed Maxie and Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) before turning her attention to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).

Sydney acknowledged all the changes in Carly’s life and wondered if she’d try to reclaim anything she’d lost.

Carly suggested that she’d always gotten what she’d wanted in the past and didn’t expect that to change.

Next, Sonny arrived with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), so Carly and Josslyn turned to look at them.

Bobbie let Carly know that she was happy about her moving on and that she wanted the best for her daughter.

Sonny dazzled Sydney during his interview and revealed that Dex was his bodyguard.

After Sydney pointed out that Sonny was without a date, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) showed up with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).

Sydney tried to quiz Nina about getting her hands on Carly’s hotel and stealing her man, but Nina wasn’t eager to comment on that.

There was some awkwardness between Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) backstage, but he let her know she was incredible for lining up all these acts and convincing people to perform.

Once Linc Brown (Dan Buran) appeared and started gloating, Chase seemed repulsed and took off.

As for Brook Lynn, she bickered with Linc until he warned that she’d lose everything if she broke their agreement.

On the red carpet again, Spence Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) appeared looking dapper in his tux and let Sydney interview him.

As he sat in the backseat of a dark car, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) watched the Nurses Ball news coverage and hinted about what was coming.

Victor also grinned over Spencer representing the Cassadine family and their future.

When Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) arrived and joined Spencer, Sydney mentioned the buzz online and asked if they were a couple.

Trina said they were friends, so Spencer backed her up.

After Ava Jerome (Maura West) pushed Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) to put his tux on and join her at the party, she gave Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) a nudge to come as well.

Just as Sydney was asking Spencer if Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) would be at the Nurses Ball, Ava walked in with Austin.

That led to Ava making it crystal clear that Nikolas was in the rearview mirror as she played up her night with Dr. GH himself.

Once Sonny crossed paths with Nina, they praised each other’s look for the evening and reflect on being a long way from their dancing days in Nixon Falls.

After Sydney interviewed Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), she stepped away to take a call from the medical examiner about Eileen Ashby’s (Heather Mazur) deadly fall.

Portia showed up next, so Sydney played up how she had something in common with Jordan.

Sydney said that both Jordan and Portia were public servants, but they knew she was messing with them regarding Curtis.

Afterward, Curtis and Portia reached for the same glass of Champagne, so that brought an uncomfortable moment.

Things got even more awkward when Jordan popped up behind the newlyweds.

When Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) walked the red carpet with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), he caught her after she tripped.

Sam kissed Dante over the averted crisis as Sydney cracked jokes about the red carpet being dangerous.

Drew, Chase, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) all made their grand entrances next.

Liz wound up letting Finn escort her for the evening as they prepared to enter the party together.

Once Sydney wrapped up the red-carpet coverage, Maxie welcomed everyone as the doors opened to the ballroom.

At the safe house, Lucy acknowledged that the show must go on – but not without her!

Over with Victor, he rolled down his window as his henchman confirmed the location Lucy’s car had led them to.

Victor hinted about Lucy, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) needing to be taught a lesson.

After Victor accepted a gun from his henchman, he said it was showtime and looked devious over his upcoming move.

General Hospital spoilers say Victor will target Valentin and Anna’s hideout soon enough, so stay tuned for updates on his perilous plot.
